Topic says it all.

Either that or nerf LRMs or give away something like mech bays that some other schmuck spends real money to get every single day.

Otherwise I'm not playing this broken game.

Thanks for the free mech bay and mech though. Let me know when you start giving away gold mechs for 5 wins.

...What.

I thought the latest LRM forum explosion was done with. They're finally in a spot where they're relevant, and everyone and their grandmother starts QQing because they're too inflexible to adjust their tactics (especially poptarts :L).

Also, why lights? You should be able to outrun LRMs with the speed of a typical light. If you're getting pounded by LRMs or even getting a lock on you for any meaningful amount of time, you're not playing lights right.

Seriously. Many people think ECM is overpowered as it is.

I am primarily a light mech pilot and rarely even get hit by LRMs, speed + availability of cover means LRMs are not a problem for competent light mech pilots.

I would much rather see more mechs in other weight classes get ECM

edit: spelling

*Give all light pilots lessons in what cover is.*

You are the fastest mechs on the battlefield, there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for you to be hit by LRMs when you can get to cover faster than any other mech around. (If you're getting hit by LRMs in an open field, slow down to 60-90 kph and pretend you're a heavier mech..you might get some idea as to how silly this sounds.)

Also- fix ECM.

I despise ECM (mostly because I enjoy piloting boats :)) especially when its on larger mechs. An Atlas SHOULD NOT be able to sneak up on anything. That said, I don't think it needs a nerf. I think its working pretty well as it is.

As to LRM's, well yes, they are powerful. They SHOULD be powerful, that's what makes them worthwhile, given the heat and lock on times, and poor tracking...

Sorry the magical cloak of invisibility must be kept to a few "special" mechs in order to keep them precious.

I think the Spider, Commando and Cicada should have their ECM variants removed as their is no valid reason they should have them in the first place.

I mean what the faster guys in the game need is to be hard to target. Missiles are already useless against them , they can run rings round anything bigger then a medium making hitting them a pita , yeah what they need is ecm so they can make it almost impossible to concentrate fire on there team whilst there guys steam roll your pugs.

It would bork up any remote semblance of balance among the light class. The Jenner and Firestarter pretty much rule the roost as it is -- giving them ECM would only further cement their superiority. At this point in the game, I think the only light that could use ECM is the Locust and maybe even the Spider 5D (because it only has 2 energy hardpoints, which are effectively useless).
