What do you guys think will be the first hero omnimech to be offered in MWO?

I sort of hoping that it's Phelan Kell's Dire wolf which he called "Lone Wolf"
which has
1 SRM 6
2 LRM 20's (swarm LRM's which means they have splash damage)
LB 10-X autocannon
AC 20
Guass rifle

OMG that would be beast in long range combat in MWO

then again they may also do Aidan Pryde's Timber Wolf which had jump jets or even better the TW used by bounty hunter which has both ECM and Tag equipped

The cries of "Pay to Win!" would deafen creatures in other galaxies.

Aiden's Timber Wolf, which would not be P2W if they also are planning on releasing the S configuration for the Timber Wolf. Then there is The Widowmaker Direwolf.

Natasha Kerensky - WidowMaker
Aidan Pryde - Summoner or Timber Wolf. My guess for timeline is Summoner... though next year for Tukayyid I see it making sense for a Timber Wolf Pryde.

TBH There is not a whole large number of Clan 'heros' we get to hear about. Randall Bills and PGI would do well to have an interesting collaboration for it.

To be honest, pretty much any Clan hero would be considered P2W, because the ones in lore are pretty dang devastating. That Widowmaker? Yeah, you could go 4 ERPPC's, UAC/20, and 4 ML's. That would be brutal.

The Widowmaker an Aidan's Timberwolf are most likely, though The Malthus Summoner is possible too.

The Summoner M would be a great brawler and you would probably be able to build it using the Prime and alternate variants, if it is not included as one of the alternates.

The problem with omni Heroes is PGI's proposed omni system allows you to mix and match non CT components. So even one powerful set of hardpoints contributes toward making an even stronger mech.

Though the thought of IS scum riding in those fine omnis disgusts me beyond all, there is the possibility of Prometheus, Prince Victor Steiner-Davion's Dire Wolf...

According tj the timeline this is nearly possible.
The most iconic for me now is Aidan's Pride Summoner.

Aidan Pryde's Timberwolf (maybe later)

Wait, did he use a custom Summoner for his second Trial of Position? Yes, he did....

I remember it had a SRM6, a LBX-10, an ERPPC and a small laser.. Or something like that..

actually Lone Wolf was the following:

one shot SRM-6
2 LRM20's (with swarm ammo on the first ton of ammo)
LB10X AC with cluster ammo
Guass rifle
3 medium pulse lasers

sadly this would not work too well in MWO.. there are no one shot launchers. and the one shot was included to deal with the lingering half ton of the Dire Wolf's pod space.
much more interesting to me would be the Widowmaker config used by Natasha Kerensky..
2 ERPPC's (one per arm)
2 Large Pulse lasers (one per arm)
3 ER medium lasers
1 ER small
1 UAC20

Something tells me are matches are going to get a lot shorter once the clans arrive.

If mechwarrior online continues in the trend of releasing a new hero mech before the actual mech variants are realised it means we are more likely to see a Mad Dog or Hellbringer omni hero.
My best guess on these two would most probably be star commander/captain Joanna's Mad Dog or Hellbringer omni's.

Well, I do believe they mentioned the Prime variants having a CBill boost... so I doubt you'll be getting a hero any time soon.

Aff, just look at project phoenix, or even project inception. Only two years later have we gotten a hero for those, the Oxide, Grid Iron, and Jester.

In PGI's defense, the other Hero Mechs are pretty good.

I personally think they should do a Warhawk hero.

I never said they were not, just that it is not likely that we get one very soon.

EDIT: When they put out Clan heroes, they should do so for the less popular Clan 'Mechs (comparatively speaking), such as the Nobori-Nin or Battle Cobra, or perhaps the Viper.

I'm with Coffinail, it'll be Widowmaker and Prometheus.

Corrected. And it should be a damned popular ride, considering it has a bigger payload than the Stormcrow and jump jets, at the expense of 5 tons and 10 kph. I look forward to using one. The fact that it is a Nova Cat designed machine might make me slightly biased, but considering what the chassis offers, I would love to use it.
