it has come to my attention, that new and unseasoned pilots don't have a full understanding of the game. here are some very simple guide lines that should help you be the pugger that everyone is talking about.

1. you can not...repeat... CAN NOT shoot through your team mates.

2. you can not win if you are too afraid to play.

3. you can not win if you hide and do not shoot your weapons.

4. medium lasers do not hit at 800 meters.

5 atlases do not make good sniping/capping mechs.

6. staying together does not mean jamming your pippet tube up your team mates rear differential.

7. capping in conquest is every bit as important as killing, cap 3 (preferrably the 3 that are closest to each other) and fight.

8. LRM players sometimes need to walk out from behind cover, and get their own locks.

9. if you see your team mate running from excessive enemy fire, make a hole for him to get under cover, do not block his acess so you can fire your 2 small lasers.

10. learn how to read the mini map, and check the score board often, you can not be successfull if you run around like a spastic nerf bag.

this does not encompass all aspects of game play, but if you concentrate on these 10 basic steps, eventually epiphanies will start to rush into your wee pugger brain, and you will blossom into a formatable mech pilot.
