Topic says it all, where are the devs? I generally see at least one of you in-game during my small spurts of weekend play, but haven't seen a single one as of late. Where have you guys been hiding?!

I saw one just a day or so ago, on the enemy team running a Grid Iron.

You do? Do you drop with friends, or mostly solo?

Did he wave to the crowd like the queen of england then DC like a ***** saying he's needed elsewhere? That's my experience with PGI staff in drops.

He helpfully explained to a player who had just returned to the game after some time away just what the Grid Iron was, then did okay before my team killed him and wiped his side.

Self promotion... well that isn't quite so bad as long as he stuck it out till the end.

The other guy asked him about it. He was just being helpful. He certainly didn't do anything to cause the guy to inquire.

I don't see PGI staff all that often, but I do see them periodically. I assume that their apparent scarcity is a function of several things: opportunity cost for them to play, being busy playing test builds internally (gogo Omnimechs), working, wanting a break from MWO after working on it all day, Elo levels, etc.

How can you tell if they are PGI staff?

They Have [PGI] or [IGP] tag instead of [LNW] etc...

They have a PGI faction symbol (using the skull emblem, made really tiny, and with a PGI in place of LNW or DAV or whatever).

I suspect plenty of them run alt accounts to play anonymously, too.

They typically have the Yellow skull next to their name. Like the Founders and Veterans flag.

pretty sure with all the fuzzy warm love and fanmail they get, many of them play their "fun time" on alt accounts. And I wouldn't blame them, as getting a nonstop barrage of question sin your "free" time would be annoying as heck.

I almost always play solo. While I'm in the process of joining a clan, rounding up people to play is too much of a pain.

Depends what time of day you are playing.

Right now we are in regular business hours, so it's hardly the time to be playing. Most members of the team are working on assets or improving the code or making designs for the game for future versions.

I personally pop on any time between 8pm and midnight eastern time on most weekdays.

That's right around the time I'm generally on, minus the days I'm in class or at work. Clearly need to play more, which I will gladly be doing once summer vacation starts in 2 weeks!

I've had the opposite experience. I saw one just this past week. But before that I hadn't seen one since maybe January.

I had a match against ol' Niko here on Sunday. We stomped him.

I believe he was running a HBK-4P, may have even been the trial one.
