With the clans coming, what about....

ELEMENTALS!

My idea is to give players the choice to pilot a SQUAD of Elementals. Say 4x at 5 tons each.

You choose weapons loadout (probably 1 hard point per suit).

You then control 1 suit and the other 3 follow you in formation under AI control, like "pets" in most MMOs.

That would not work too well, to be honest, for the same reason infantry do not work. At only 40 kph, they would be dead men walking, for very little gain.

I could just imagine the forum outrage if this was implemented. They'd be able to hear it on the International Space Station.

I would take them as a consumable lol. Oh the angst and gnashing of teeth would be epic.
