....other people. What keep me from getting into this game is that online CAN be fun but is also often terrible.

I would play this endlessly in 'campaign mode' if I could and pay for it. The constant stream of 12 olds on line is driving me away. In the end you will only have 12 olds and they don't have any money. Just a thought.

Unless they've updated the plan to not include single-player at all, this is not the case. There was originally supposed to be a campaign coming in the future.

This is not an MMO. If anything, it's a MOBA. This is no more an MMO than CoD is.

PGI tried to make it a single player game, but nobody wanted to put up cash for a Battletech game. After Titanfall, though, I bet there would be some interested parties.

Gah, I dislike that game with extreme prejudice, way too much money for a multi-player only game. Sounds hypocritical considering I'm posting this on MW:O forums, but seriously, if it's a console game, at least put a single player campaign in it, and make the Multi-player an addition. Section 8 did it right, years ago, why couldn't they do it now?


Also, I do believe there was going to be a single player section, and they have not posted that they are discarding it, as far as I remember.

It still amazes me that people come to a massively multiplayer online game that is advertised, marketed, and otherwise sold as a PvP multiplayer game that never hints at single player and say they don't like the game because it's not a single player game....

Mostly due to the frustration of not having single player in there.

In the case of Titan Fall, I wanted to play that game in a single player setting, in the case of MW:O, I honestly don't think I ever wanted the single player set up to be anything more than just teaching you the ropes (again, like in Section 8 and it's sequel).

As for why someone would approach a MOBA and want single player only, it seems weird, until you realize, some people just really don't want to deal with other people.

I think the problem

with online games

is largely

that people post

on forum

about those games

but then

that happens

to

be the great things

about game forums,

that people post on them.

Someone should invent

forums that are topic

themed but wholey

independant of

the the source

of their theme.

Like 4chan or Reddit

only less terrible.
