Some of you say that in order for devs to make money to create, market and release a game they need money. Of course they do. Some of you say that the devs are taking money (pre-order) to finish the game for release. Of course they are. It is after all a business and as a business they will look at what will make them money, in this case, your fandom.
The point is, and it's not being said outloud is, that all of you pre-order folks are buying the packs not for the "support" of the title. but to get an edge over other players.
Whine, cry and stomp that you are only paying for the pre-order to support the title but.... as a vet of many F2P/Pay for perks games I know you are full of it. You are buying faster in game money making, exp gathering and dressed up cartoon robots. THATS IT all in order to scamper to the highest tiers of this game faster than others so you can proudly announce your uberstature. Pathetic.
Would you be willing to pop off that $120 just to support the title with no benefit? I think not and those of you that are going to say you would are not really being truthful with yourselves or this community.
The devs are relying on your "fandom" to get the money they need to finally finish this game and take more of your money over time because you "fanboys and girls" will not be able to play without the perks that you will have to continue to pay for. Wanna make a dev smile give him/her money for an unfinished product and then continue to pay long after the game is out. Hmmmm ponzi?
So premium players gather your nuts quickly as the ADD/redbull fueled lil gigglers are waiting to call you newb even though you can spout clan lore until all around you puke, and they will not have spent a cent on the game.
A TT megamek MW1-4 VET and beyond, known simply as the:
*pulls megaphone out of Jenner's cockpit*
I can barely hear you from atop my tower of 'mechs so I will need this for you to hear me.
Actually I did buy it to support the game, and yes not having to grind as much as someone else does appeals to me.
*puts microphone down, sips brandy, picks microphone back up*
In all seriousness.
I had the money.
It was something I wanted.
I bought it.
Hooray for disposable income and living within your means.
Lmao, do like.
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. *Tips top hat*
