There is no salvaging.
There are repair and ammo reloading costs.
From what I've read, I do believe that heavier mechs cost more money to repair.
I think to fix meta gameplay issues, they will soon have to realize that people will gravitate toward roles/mechs that provide the most profit. That may be where everyone goes lights with only energy weapons, the way things are currently balanced I believe.

Do the mech's cost more to repair because they are heavier or is it because repairing 50% of the armor on a jenner is not the same as repairing 50% of the armor on an atlas? You know paying for the repair of 2 tons of armor as opposed to 9 tons of armor. Also when you lose a medium laser its not the same as say losing an AC/20. This is how I'm approaching it unless someone knows something differently?
