I'm opted in. I might not get the chance to play a whole lot of matches this weekend but I'll give it a shot.

Me too, although this one is another "solo drop only" contest, which kind of takes the fun out of it. Without the 3/3/3/3 in place, you know it's going to be "bring your best heavy/assault mech" or you won't stand a chance as a solo pugger.

Also, I was 13th in the last tournament and I only used a Blackjack and a Griffin.

Very nice! What was your BJ loadout, if you don't mind me asking? For myself, I just know my better match scores have always been with heavy or assault mechs. I don't seem to last long in a light or medium. I think I just have a tendency to want to "tank" things, which is probably from too many years of playing fantasy MMOs, I guess.

I've opted in, and I have seen alot of people complaining about it... Me myself, mostly play solo and I like the idea that they are catering to everyone, I enjoy this alot more than the other tournaments... But that's just me... But like I said, it's good that they have different kind of tourny's

Im running an 1X with 6 medium lasers, 2 ER large lasers and a 295xl.
With a heat efficiency of 1.01 its not what you call a cool mech, but I can get out two alphas even on the hot maps. I love to sneak up behind some Atlas or Stalker or something and ruin his day.
