Please give us the ability to hide trial mechs. Don't worry, we will still look at them sometimes and maybe use them. But the trial mechs don't belong in our paid-for Mechbays. We need the ability to reduce the clutter and see our owned Mechs ONLY.

A filter option of some sort would be nice. I'd like to only be able to see my Clan chassis.

Hiding them unless a player wanted to see them would be a good idea.

Yes, kick the Trials to another tab. But logically, what pgi should do is:
  • Give us only 2 tabs inside of MECHLAB: Trials, Owned
  • And push all the other battlemechs available for MC/C-bill purchase to the STORE
It will make the STORE tab more functional, seeing I always buy new mechs by flipping open the Filter in MECHLAB to see what's purchaseable and owned. It's noticeably inconvinient for Free players just like me, but it should make sense kicking the BUY buttons under mechs to the STORE menus. Right?

Ok get this. I always thought they have left the trial mechs in for a possible dropship mode where 1 of each weight class is needed to load onto the dropship. But more likely its for new players. Anyway, yes there should be an option or so to not show the trial mechs.

I bought the trial Nova and guess what - now I see them both - my own and the trial one! This is beyond silly!

Agreed with most everything in this post. This problem has been complained about alot in the last year.... and yet here we are. Fixing these issues doesn't seem like rocket science to me. GET IT DONE.

This is a bug/defect, not an enhancement request. They have to modify or redesign the UI, which I believe they intend to do, among other fixes. If you are a UIX guy, send them your resume. However, an official response on this topic would be appreciated.

Bump
- YES - Absolutly need to have the ability to customise mech arrangements.
Posted Image Yes (423 votes [98.14%] - View) So far and growing.

Either with mini tabs as is the case today
* Favorite
* Owned
* Trial
* Purchasable

Or via a simple check box system like the launcher.
SHOW
[_] Owned
[_] Trial
[_] Purchasable

Even combo Tab/check
[_] Trials hidden
* Owned
* Purchasable

Maybe the ability to simply move them around so you can put your favorites at top, and trials at bottom.... Hmmm...

I even liked the idea of having the purchasable ones in the "Store" tab at top, anything to be able to clean up and customise my mechs to make pre-launch selection easier.

Lets keep bumping this and get MORE VOTES!

The current setup is very confusing to new players

Would be useful to have default view be for favorites, with filters for owned mechs, trials, and purchasable

A "Trial Mechs Tab" will do nicely, as well as an "Un-owned Mechs Tab."

No mixing Mechs please.

YES PLEASE!

And while you're at it, fix the drop-down menu for "owned"/"purchasable" mechs.
Whenever you take a look at the mech's loadout in the "purchasable mechs" list and click back, you're back on the "owned mechs" list.
It's annoying.

And add a "loadout" button to every mech besides "buy".
I'd like to take a look at weapon locations and the built in engine before buying a mech.

Honestly, the new mechbay offers alot of useless information, but not the important stuff like hardpoint location.
Just take a look at smurfy.
How about making that info window about a mech a bit larger and add the location of hardpoints and weapons and the size of the current engine?
