I was looking around and i don't know why no one has come up with it yet. So? What do you think should they be a The Republic of the Sphere faction!

If anyone wants to help me or give me fead-back do so and if you would like to join the The Republic of the Sphere hehe that would be fun!.

Sadly i lack the ability to make a factrion, website etc so i may need help from others if you are intresded that is!

Hope you don't mind me sugesding this. (It is more of a faction group than a future sugestion).

Republic Of The Sphere does not come into existence until 3081(dark age starts in 3131). we are about to role the timeline back to 3049 so know such thing as the Republic Of The Sphere at this time. plus you might be hard pressed to find any one thats a fan of the dark age timeline

If this was set in the 3100's I'd be flying those colours.

Well I'm a fan of the Word of Blake.... which means I hate the Republic of the Sphere with every fiber of my being.

Smoke Jaguar is alive and well in the Republic. They'd also make Trent proud.

It would certainly be an interesting faction. (Essentially having access to Comguard, Clan, and even Wobbie tech)

The RotS was a travesty based solely on the personal charisma of a madman.

What we really need is a ComStar faction. PGI could even do a Schism event that leads into the Jihad (20 years from now or whatever; I assume they'd do some time skips). Precentor-Martial Focht was one of the Great Men of the Inner Sphere, and the ComGuard did the impossible when they trounced the Clans in a straight-up fight on Tukayyid.

The short version of my answer is no.
The long version of my answer is nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Republic of the Sphere comes into play after the Jihad, which isn't scheduled for a while. To get the Republic, you first have to nuke a couple planets.

Devlin Stone is there to make Maximilian Liao look good better. Hint: He's the Devil In Stone.

Go read Era Report 3145 and you'll realize exactly what kind of monster the Republic really turned into, and Stone just took a break in a cryo pod for a few years while things matured into the lovely quasi-Blakist state every Terran-based nation seems to evolve into.

Of course i would join the Republic - rather those barbarians at the gates - really wished we could have a time swap to 3145...and physcial combat of course....charging in my Uraeus at 86kph - and ripping Gengis Khan Mechs open with a cut of my Vibrosword.....

You would have a better chance of getting comstar as a faction. And if they treat it like the clan invasion and release teaser trailers, new mechs, etc then you have an influx of players wanting to have comstar tags

The Jade Falcons would have to grudgingly ally with our enemies to help defeat the Word of Blake.

I know RotS is beyond the MWO timeline but I went and made a unit "Knights of the Sphere" (it wouldn't allow Republic of the Sphere) with the tag "RotS." As someone who was introduced to Battletech through the Dark Age Clix game, the Republic will always have a special place in my heart.

Is that an off-shot of "The Knights of the Inner Sphere"?

It could be interpreted/presented as an off-shoot of the Knights of the Inner Sphere, or an off-shoot of the Knights of St. Cameron, or an homage/copycat unit based on either (or an amalgam of both).

There are also the Knights Defensor, formed by order of the Pope of the New Avalon Catholic Church on January 1, 3084; the "Knights of the Sphere" could be interpreted/presented as a predecessor to that unit (though, that might be stepping on the proverbial toes of the Seraphim as "the Christian MWO group").
