Did I miss something with this FEK character?

Yes, he is trying to start a fight with some of our brethren, and so far, I have denied him the satisfaction, but, he is starting to make me reconsider.

He is a self confessed Ghost Bear lap dog. I started a fight by challenging Krubarax. FEK is kissing the Ghost Bears collective *****.

Guys I will not be posting tomorrow at all, as I have just learned, that my closest friend, and fellow Mando'ad, committed suicide, at the age of 16. I am now mourning him, so please, leave me be, and if you will, stop by the thread to pay your last respects to my good friend Blake Cripe.

Aff, may he rest in peace, I have just learned the funeral is on Saturday. Enough with these bad tidings though, as he wouldn't want this, he would want us to celebrate the time he had. I hereby dedicate my first year of piloting, and first year of playing a clansmen, to him, and name my Atlas for my IS mech, and Hellbringer, or my Clan mech, Hell Fist in his honor.

Greetings fellow Wolves, it is an honor to be able to stand and fight along side you all. My first exposure to the Clans was in MW3, and I fell in love with the Timber Wolf and the Dire wolf. I played a bit of MW4 mercenaries, but I was given a great sign a few days ago while at half price books, I found an original MW2 for the PC. I have also seen most of the Battletech tv series, but would love if someone made a new one, so much history to go over.

I hope to prove myself in battle for you all my fellow wolves

MW2 was the first PC game I played and I always chose Wolf Clan. Should the clans be available as playable factions in the future I'm gonna join up! :D

Same man. I was 6 years-old and I sucked. My dad did all the playing at first, but once I got a hang of the controls you could not stop me.

Clan Wolf forever; Warden until I die.

Like Hell Odin, you mess with a fellow Warden, and you mess with me. Bid what you will, I will bid ten tons lower, and still kill you. If I have to get an SRM launcher while your in a Commando, and some satchel charges, so be it.

The Warden stance stems from Aleksandr Kerensky, who led the SLDF into Exile. Aleksandr (The "Great Father") died of a heart attack while his people descended into civil war and unleashed horrific attrocities against eachother. HIs Exodus- his attempt- was a failure which is why his sons, Nicholas Kerensky (The "Founder") and his brother Andery Kerensky led a Second Exodus.

Nicholas is the one who created the Clans- citing that the SLDF living in Exile wasn't enough. Warfare was inseparable from humanity and that the only way to return the Star League to the Inner Sphere was extreme measures. Hence, the Clans.

Twenty years after the creation of the Clans, he led them in a return to the Pentagon Worlds- where the Clans invaded in what they called "Operation Klondike" (Sound familiar? They do the same thing to the Inner Sphere in 3050 with "Operation Revival"). He decreed that whichever Clan did the best during Klondike would receive his family's genetic legacies.

Clan Wolf was that Clan. That's why the Clan Wolf emblem has a sxith star. It's Nicholas, the Founder. Not Aleksandr, the Great Father.

Nicholas is clearly a Crusader, as was Clan Wolf at the beginning.

You know seem to be talking about Ulric Kerensky who actively sabotaged the Invasion from the inside out as ilKhan (ironically the elected leader). He is the one that chose to put the Steel Vipers with the Jade Falcons (Bitter enemies) and the Nova Cats and the Jaguars together (also enemies). While the Diamond Sharks were also activated, he didn't actually call them in until he had no choice- Tukayyid.

He also ordered the Wolf's Dragoons to defend the Inner Sphere against the Clans- which they did by giving Clan Tech and Star League tech to the Houses, helped educate them about the Clans' weaknesses and, most notably, helped defend Luthien from the Nova Cats and Jaguars.

Finally, Ulric used Focht to engineer Tukayyid to arrange for a fifteen year truce.

As we saw with the Refusal War- he died a traitor to the Clans under Clan Law. He engineered the whole thing to kill off Clan Wolf.

Then left the millions of Clan Wolf civilians to fend for themselves while he sent a mere two Galaxies and a couple of techs to live in the Inner Sphere under Phelan for good.

Ulric used Vlad and the Falcons to do that. He locked down Conal's Bloodname to force Vlad and the other Wolves to activately try to remove him. It was a Clan Wolf charge, and the Falcons had no say in it one way or another. In fact, it was a futile attempt by Vlad due to Urlic's allies on the Wolf council.

It was only when Ulric intentionally brought it to the Grand Council himself that the Falcons got involved.

Okay. Back up.

First, the Warden belief is based on the Hidden Doctrine which essentially states that there's no hope for the Inner Sphere, and while they come to their senses, the SLDF will keep all the 'good' things about the Star League and return once everything is nice and peaceful again.

So- keeping the 'good' things about the Star League alive? By creating a caste system, forsaking humanity, breeding children through the use of machines and then teaching them how to kill eachother before they even learn how to talk.

By restricting civilians from marrying and loving whom the choose? By forcing them to marry and have children with people who are a 'genetic match'?

That makes sense.

Then the paradox of resurrecting the Star League by waiting until the Inner Sphere does so by itself and then comes and finds the Clans. To, what, invite them to become the SLDF again?

After the Clans chilled on the sidelines, essentially drinking beer and watching the Succession Wars as if they were a football game? "Hey Lou! How many children you think were vaporized in that nuke blast? Not as many as the radiation'll kill I bet!"

Here's a question: You talk about how Clan Wolf has yet to 'prove itself'. I suppose the Wolves in Exile have already done so?

What, exactly, did they do during the Jihad, for example, that Clan Wolf didn't do?

Just to be clear, the ilKhan in this case is ilKhan Nicholas Kerensky- the Founder of all the Clans, and definately a Crusader.

It's not the traitor ilKhan Ulric Kerensky that undermined the Invasion and engineered the Refusal War.

I dislike the way in which you mock our Great Father. Were it not for him and his guidance we would never have left the bickering and idiotic houses of the IS.

Ulric did not die a traitor under Clan Law either. He was killed dishonorably by Jade Falcon SaKhan Vandervahn Chistu in an ambush that defied and went against Clan Law and the rules of Zellbrigen. Vlad Ward later fought and killed Vandervahn because he killed Ulric dishonorably. Not only did he ambush him but he used only long range missiles and fired at Ulric after leading him into the ambush. Vlad also fought Chistu to get him to release Wolf.

The Wardens do not believe in sitting on their butts and doing nothing. I know my Crusader and Warden philosophies very well and this is utterly false.

Crusaders-Crusaders believe that the IS must be purged through combat and fire, as this is the only means to cleanse the IS, take Terra, and truly redeem the IS to prepare it for the New Star League.

Wardens-Wardens believe that the IS and Terra are jewels to be protected and that the IS Surats are very misguided. Wardens are all about protecting the IS from threats both internal and external, clans, mercenaries, pirates, other houses, etc.

Of course both philosophies go much deeper than this but these are a touch on the basics.

I would also have you know that Phelan's Wolves did a great deal of fighting in the jihad against the blakists and began supporting the IS and other factions against them long before Vlad chose too.

I will also bring up how Alaric Wolf(not Ward)is an abomination among the Clans, he contains the genetic DNA of Victor, an IS Surat, and Katherine, also an IS Surat. Vlad is an ***** for allowing and okaying Katherine's with to allow her dna and her brother's to mingle into the Wolf Genetic DNA. HE ALLOWED IT TO BECOME TAINTED BY THE BLOOD OF SPHEROIDS...

This is something that, had it been widely known among all the clans, would have been grounds for Reaving, and rightfully so. Vlad was great in my books until he chose to do this.

I will also point out that on Sarna, in my sourcebooks, and FASA(FASA is gone so now Catalyst)all confirm that Wolf was a Warden clan until the split in which OVER HALF the Clan went with Phelan into the IS as Exiled Wolves and ABOUT HALF the clan stayed with Vlad Ward as the Crusader Wolves.

I consider myself neither Crusader nor Warden, rather I consider myself Wolf.

This bickering is also pointless especially when so many are getting the facts wrong, if one wishes to claim that they are correct let them prove it in a Trial by Combat! The way of the Clans is not to bicker but Fight!

As one final note, whoever(I don't recall but I know I saw it)said that we got Cubs or w/e is dreadfully wrong, that would be the Ghost Bears, the young ones of the Wolves are Pups...

My name is Gath. My call sign is Gath138 on coms. I am a Abtakha, who has pledged his loyalty to Kahn Kell. I have fought with him in countles battles. Most Sibko's call me "freebirth" thinking it wil discourage me and make me weak. This is not so as it fuels my need to prove I am as good as they are. I have fought my Trial of Equals and killed my apponinet for my right to fight. I am Gath, proud to be part of Clan Wolf.

"We are Clan Wolf, children of Kerensky. We carry the honor of his name on our shoulders, as our fathers did before us. The rememberence speaks to us of the evil in man's will, of the reasons for Exodus and the rights of the travelers. Arcadia is our destiny and our right. Enlightenment is our gift. By the Bloodnames of the Founders we must return, return and protect that which is unique among the stars. Terra awaits us as it was written. We are the last of the Wardens. The sole hope for the Earth."
