it happened in almost every of last few games, our group of 2, or 3 was splited to different lances and it was difficult to work together having eight blue triangles and looking for group members, or help, if someone needs support

it makes no sense for me to create a group, we want to operate as a lance and not in same team only

why did it happened? earler was not so, premade groups up to 4 were ever in one lance

btw, it is possible to mark different lances with different colour?
as member of alpha lance i don´t know is bravo lance going wrong way, or charlie because both´re blue
blue - alpha, green - bravo, purple- charlie as suggestion

After joining a match, take command and rearrange lances to your liking.

we made it last match and splitted another premade group ;)

is an option, but not the solution

It happens (more now) because the matchmaker has to handle groups of so many different sizes to create a team of 12.
Say the matchmaker chooses two groups of 3, one group of 2 and one of 4 to make a team, one of those groups HAS to be split across several lances.
Why does the matchmaker choose those groups in the first place? Because they are available, to keep searchtimes low and to fit the class-rules as best as possible.

It used to happen very rarely before the new system (if there were several groups of 3 on one side, mostly) but with all the new possible variations (groups of 5-10) in the group-queue the probability is obviously higher.

is there an option to fill a lance of 3 with solo-players first instead to split premade groups?
how would that affect the latency between matches?

another way were to mark member of splitted premade groups with another color, visible only for member of this group, but that would cause too much work i think...

Simply put: No

Explanation:
If you drop in a group of 2-4 you can end up in solo-queue OR group-queue.
If you end up in solo, your group will never be split because yours will be the ONLY group on your team, the rest of it will be solo-players.
If you end up on the group-queue however, your entire team will be made up of variously sized groups without any solo-players. It's here that groups sometimes get seperated to fill up lances as described in my other post.

PGI have already stated why this happens

edit:already answered in previous post. That'll teach me to read everything before answering :)

thx, i´m sorry about it, it seems to better play in 3-4 man-group, splitting is unprobable :)

All groups drop in the group-queue. PGI lied to us in the patch notes.

Nope, if your group is smaller than 5 you CAN drop in solo-queue, it's just random wich one you get.

That was the their position™ two weeks ago.

Their current position™ is that all groups go into group queue now.

Hmm, is there a source for that ?
Wonder what made them think that was a good idea...
