Came back from the Doctor today. Good news. He says my leg is showing definite improvement and that growth has been shown on my X-Rays. He said maybe in 4 weeks I may possibly be able to walk again.

That's great news.

How is your mom doing?

Keep the healing going! Show those doctors a miracle!

Even then, you are both alive still. It's better to be alive with a limp to be able to still enjoy each other, than the alternative! (Not to mention, who else would argue with me about lore! Or ******* up in combat!)

Keep us posted please. Might not know you in real life, but that doesn't mean I'm not concerned for you!

Seriously.... blow and me for Blow/Me up is filtered... ;)

Just saw this post and I am glad to see that you and your mother are all right, relatively speaking. Good luck with learning to walk again, having gone through a similar (last year) although nowhere near as bad as your injuries. It really sucks going through PT and learning to lose the limp. Hopefully the both of you heal quickly.

Will do. In bad news today I watched the Eragon movie... Its a MASTER PEICE at being crap. Not a single redeeming moment. Was painful.

I heard that it is why I avoided it like the plague.

You missed a bit of brain cancer right there.

That movie had great potential. They even had Jeremy Irons. Who in my opinion was the only good thing about the movie.

And its bad when Jeremy Irons is the ONLY good thing. If it had good actors and actresses, and dialog that resembled the book and a plot not from Star Wars it could have been great. But instead we got Ed Speleers and John Malcovich spewing the worst acting and dialog it makes Birdemic a master piece worth an Oscar.

I'm sorry, but the .gif birds are an automatic "can't win an award" guarantee.

It takes some work to make John Malkovich look bad, but Eragon managed that nicely.

More importantly, sorry to hear your Mom will be dealing with the aftermath from now on, but never say never. God is good.

Really glad to hear about your progress. Hang in there!

It doesn't take much to make John Malkovich look bad at all. He is quite possibly (next to Speleers) my least favorite actor. Mainly because he is sooo.... undefined. His characters lack depth of any kind IMO.

Thanks. God definitely saved his family from 2 funerals that day.

So, does that mean your femur is repairing but still won't grow or does that mean that doctors are idiots?

Oh sorry bout that. It means that Calluses and calcium deposits are forming to fill in the broken spaces in his bones and healing. Bone Expansion (lengthwise) will never happen.

Last update for the day:

Extreme muscle cramping and pain right now. Can't control the muscles in my toes and they flinch on their own. Doc said this would be normal and I am not liking it at all currently.

Thanks for all your support. Thanks Advisor for correcting that bit. Update yas tomorrow.

Continue to get well! We'll worry about who gets to use your mechs while you are down on injury later.

Yeah it is because your leg is immobilized so the muscles want to move but cannot. Which really sucks with a broken leg. If it gets to be too much ask your doctor for some muscle relaxants which he should have prescribed. Mine treated the muscle relaxants as if they were going to be abused but gave me hydrocodone without a second thought.

I have muscle relaxants but.. I am very hesitant to use any drugs. In truth I am terrified of drugs and their effects and what can happen could happen... I don't like using any of them. I might use one later if it gets bad, but only if it gets unbearable...

Just make sure to follow the directions of the prescription to the letter (if you feel you might be too drugged out to stay understanding, let someone else know when you took the pill and when to redose/let them tell you when you can have another). Also only take it when you need it and only if you feel you need it.
