i havent tested it yet but i had just read updating your video bios can fix the black screen crashes,i just updated from f2 to f5 video bios for my gigabyte 7770oc card.im waiting on ram being delivered today to play.has anyone tried this?i didnt even know the card has bios..i will post if my rare random crashes stop.

i used to get 'memory allocation errors'
'display adapter has stopped working and has recovered'

after updating my gigbyte 7770oc bios it hasn't happened yet.if i get a crash i will update this post.

check your cards manufacturers site to see if they have updated video bios, you will need to know your card and what revision it is.(my new bios are for rev1, i read rev2 bios update is F11 while mine is F5)

A lot of 560 Ti's had voltages that were slightly too low, wasn't a problem until battlefield 3, which stressed the cards much harder.

A graphics card bios with higher voltages fixed it.

It'll only help if it's a known problem that has been fixed with a new bios. If not, I wouldn't risk a gpu bios update, although I've done it many times, all succesful.
