Yeah, so you buy MC, and then you can use MC to convert XP to GXP.
And this past weekend you can convert more: world class sale
Normally it's like 25 GXP for 1 MC (but I can be wrong, since I'm looking at this off hand and haven't done a conversion in a while), and for a short while longer you can get 50 GXP for 1 MC due to the sale.

You are correct. Normally it is 25 GXP for 1 MC. I show this at the end of the video. Also a word of warning, the slider is the only way to choose the amount of XP you are converting and when you have a large amount of XP in the pool it can be difficult to get an exact amount.

To expand on that, they do that sale roughly every other month. I highly recommend waiting if you need to convert XP (or spend MC for almost anything for that matter). Nearly everything goes on sale eventually.

This is what I was talking about before (a far as Mastering a second Mech in the same weight class).
If in a weight class (light, medium, heavy, or assault) you already have one Mech as a Master (see my Ravens ;-)
You can Master a second type of Mech in the same weight class by getting three to complete the basic level and then Mastering the one that you want.
Working on just my Ember (Firestarter FS9-E), I was able to get him to Master with the other two Firestartes at the completed basic level:
I hope this clears up what I was trying to say earlier.

It does. I've been playing so long that my account meet all the gyrations of things I've heard so I can't reliably test. This is very clear. When I redo this video I'll be able to accurately describe the system. I've a feeling I'll have to redo this and the modules tutorial after the patch that adds the changes to the module system in Vlog #6.
