Okay I want to preface this by acknowledging this is not the most well liked way to play the Centy-D, but I do not like XL's and I do not care for SRM's either (I am bad with them). I am just looking for some constructive criticism on this build, besides telling me to make it a zombie SRM build. That is not what I'm looking for.

After messing around with it a bit in Smurfy this is what I came up with. I am not sure. It kinda looks like my CN9-A (AC/5. 2MLas, 2 SSRM's). Except I obviously traded the Streaks for a bigger AC.

-Edit- While I say I do not like SRM's, I do not mind Streaks. It must be because of the lock on.

Put the AC ammo in the arm, maybe move the AMS ammo to the leg. You might even be able to get away with junking the case for another half ton of ammo (AC or AMS, as you see fit by need).

Run my CN9-D with the stock engine, AC10, 2xML, 2xSSRM2, BAP, 2 tons AC10 ammo, 1 ton Streak ammo, Pretty much same armor as yours. What makes the CN9-D different from other Cents is the higher engine cap. If the CN9-D is the only Cent you own than I understand, but otherwise you're wasting what makes it different from other Cents by using a sub-280 engine.

I have the CN9-A and so far I'm liking the -AL best (have not got the -D yet). I'm only buying the -D for the ability to master the chassis

Does that look better?

Yeah, that looks better. You might want to divide that third ton of AC ammo into half a ton of AC10 and half AMS, depending on how your matches go.You should at least play with the 300XL for a few drops first, before you discount it. The speed buys you a lot of survivability. At the very least, the 300XL goes great in Jenners, Catapults, and any of the 55 tonners.

EDIT: Alternatively, you could take your proposed build, junk the AC10 and the 3 tons of ammo, add ferro armor, and go for twin AC2 with 4 tons ammo.

My issue is that I don't particularily care for dying to a ST getting blown off. I suppose I'll try it for a bit. As far as the ammo, I'll give it a few runs once I get it and see how it works.

-Edit-
I'll give the 300XL a try just to see. This is what I came up with for it by the way

I would probaly try some thing like this, you don't need Ferro - Fiberous Armor, just drop an extra heat sink.

You could do a Gauss and an ER Large Laser along the same lines.

Sadly both require the use of "stock" XL300.

That Dual AC/5 setup is something I am definitely taking into consideration. I love me some dual AC builds

Your proposed build here has 2 heat sinks that you don't really need. I'd pull them and up-armor your left arm, so that the shield arm lasts longer (you will need to be more vigilant with getting that arm up to block hits with the XL). The single Streak launcher with only half a ton of ammo isn't much to speak of, I'd consider pulling it to upgrade your medium lasers to pulse, the shorter beam duration will let you get damage out faster so you can then twist away to protect your midsection.
