Has There Been Any Mention Of The "firing Straight Into The Ground' Bug That Was Introduced With The Clan Mechs?

Any hint that PGI is aware of/working on it on twitter or reddit or whatever?

(I'm referring to the bug where you can get a lock on and fire, and all your miissiles will go where the target WAS, as if you had dumbfired).

it was mentioned a few times - there's supposed to be a beep when you lock-on that happens when your recticle turns red but it's now shortly after so in the meantime you can listen for it before firing (i never hear it since i listen to music when i play so i just delay for a sec before firing)

Oh, that's a bug? I had just figured that was how the game worked and I needed to get used to it.

I figured it was a lag/server kinda thing ,ive ben getting 5-10 sec lag spikes since clan update in addition to the missle bug thing.Prolly every other game or so . the missle thing happens all the time though.

That could actually be the case, now that I think of it. Although it could also just be a coincidence.

I thought it was just the missiles choosing a dumb flight path. They do that sometimes.

It's def a bug. I havent heard of any eta for a fix however.

It's only been happening since one of the recent patches. Now I just wait an extra half second or whatever so I know that it's an actual lock. Sucks to have to workaround it but that's how it goes (currently).

Almost the same day the clans came out htere was posts about it. They did fix the relocking bug for clan lrms on the last patch.

This. Even I find it disturbing how quickly people started saying "buy premium time" as an answer to a variety of complaints.

I mean, at least the fantasy footballers deserve it, but still...

I've been holding my fire a little bit longer lately, and that seems to clear up the issue for me. I'm guessing it's some kind of lag thing, but really, who knows.

I thought it was a balancing measure intended to reduce the whining on forums. (Not that LRMs needed a nerf)

It's really sad that, with the precedents set (ghost heat, etc) we can even be. 100% sure :).
