im not sure what the rule is for ATI , but for nvidia avoid anything with the GT prefix, you want a GTX

:) no such simple rule with ATI, just get a card with at least 256 bit Memory Interface and 2 GB Ram.

Decent graphic cards from ATI:
256 Bit Memory Interface:
R9 270 2 GB Ram
R9 270x 2 GB Ram

384 Bit Memory Interface:
R9 280 3 GB Ram
R9 280x 3 GB Ram

The X version have a higher clockrate, but that's not realy a reason to spend more money.
Even the R9 270 is fast enough for MWO, the R9 280 is even fast enough for Battlefield 4 (both in 1920 x 1200 px).
Some R9 270 have 4 GB Ram, but that offers no benefit and is wasted money.

This is your one stop shop to building and buying a system......

There are a slew of hardcore Techie Hardware junkies around(I am guilty as charged) that have amassed A solid data base of builders threads and links and of course, A healthy Intel vs AMD price/performance debate on the daily.........Aw yea.

And yes a GPU of at least 256-bit GDDR5 at least 2 gb, GTX760 or R8 270X........ But man A XFX R9 280 3gb-384-bit GDDR5 from that site stuns me @ 228$ I could sell my ZOTAC AMP 760 that is OC'd into reference GTX 770 territory for that very card........ugh...........stunned. Paid 308$Can. for my 760 1 year ago.....

also check microcenter for parts and prices
windows will cost $60-100 on top of the hardware, search for oem windows and you will find it cheaper than 100 usually.

Just buy a Sager. If you are going to base your decision on best price with an okay GPU, you really won't be getting the best laptop for gaming.

Just get a Sager.

Check dealnews.com and slickdeals.net - they generally have a lot of computers available

http://dealnews.com/...ng/1111558.html
not sure if the PSU will be sufficient for a better card

http://dealnews.com/...fp-hdl-legacy-t
950, core i7 haswell, comes with a geforce 750.

I personally build all my machines, but there *are* perks to factory assembled/warrantied machines. These are just a few examples - good luck! Building a computer isn't terribly difficult, but it *is* hard to beat manufactured pc prices sometimes. To bottom out the price when building, you wind up cutting costs somewhere... cooling? Video card? poorly ventilated enclosure? Choose wisely!

for $950 you could build a better gaming system than that dell.

Just editing smokey's build above rather quickly

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wb3xRB

The options are endless building your own, buying a prebuilt desktop from a mainstream manufacturer is very very very rarely better.
