I know this has been suggested and discussed before, but if nothing else, I'm bringing it back to attention.

PGI is already tracking the amount of usage each mech, weapon, module and variants there of that everyone is using. They are also tracking your skill by kills/assists and all that you do in a match, your ELO. So why not do something similar with all the other stuff?

Basically I'm saying you add a base BV (battle value) to all the mechs, weapons, modules, variants, etc... and then adjust those values by the amount of use or disuse that they get from the community. This thread here is pretty much what I am looking to have. Teams that can vary from 6 to 12 depending on the current BV of the mech + weapons + modules + pilot ELO and try to get a fairly close match between the two teams.

I'm mostly just re-posting the idea so that it doesn't die and MAYBE we can get PGI to knuckle down and do it!

I'm in. Anything to balance the game against ER-PPC / Gauss spam.
