downloaded and installed MWO for first time but when I click play it doesn't start the game, just goes blank and nothing happens.
any suggestions that doesn't require an IT degree to make this run?

And uninstalled, what a piece of ****!

Have you tried running MW:O from an admin account on your PC?

Can you provide us with your PC specs? Have you made sure your drivers and DirectX are both up to date?

Well, he could not have clicked "Play" without clicking "Patch" first, could he?

Ive been having this aswell since before the last patch tbh.

9 times out of 10 workes perfectly when u press the mwo icon on desktop but sometimes that 1 out of 10 you press the mwo icon to start sometimes u see the mechwarrior logo flash up then nothing or just nothing happens and ive been playing since open beta and this is the first time this has happend

Went into windows task manager and nothing was running under applications but in processes mwoclient.exe was at 00 cpu and doing nothing.

Ran the repair tool aswell and nothing found/fixed

Sometimes it would kick in and start other times ive waited out and just closed the process and restarted the game , sometimes this worked others not so I just rebooted.
I would`nt call my pc old just a couple of years old i5 2500k running at 4.2- 16gb ram -gtx770 4mb - windows 7 64bit and yes all drivers are upto date.

Frost Ach, It's not your PC unless your vid card actualy has 4MB of ram! I've not had this problem myself but often the launcher pops under anything other that's open. Not realy a problem but odd.
