* The map has a capture-point at a random location which is determined anew every time a match is launched.

* The capture-point has only half the diameter of the other game-modes and no fence. (So it could be placed anywhere as long as the slope is small enough, e.g. between two buildings or on the roof of a building or on the side of a hill...) It is signified by a small, burning wreck of a crash-landed shuttle/dropship. Capture-speed the same as Assault-Mode.

* Victory-conditions:
- Catching capture-point.



In this game-mode, Scouts and Mechs with jumpjets would be essential to find, claim and defend the crash-site as fast as possible. The small size of the capture-point guarantees that only one or two Mechs can capture at the same time.

And because there is no victory-condition for destroying the enemy, this won't turn into Skirmish: If you kill the enemy but fail to secure the wreckage before time runs out, it's still a draw.

I can see what you're wanting to suggest with this, but honestly I can't see much of the appeal. With Light 'Mechs moving as fast as they do, and with some luck or a capture speed module, a match could be over within a minute. On top of that, once CW rolls out, this mission is suddenly unbalanced between IS and Clan, as IS Lights are undoubtedly faster and more agile in every regards. Also, no Heavies and or Assaults would want to play this gamemode, so the wait times would be monstrous, or only Lights (and the occasional Medium) would play this mode.

The current IS-lights are faster, but Clans have fast mechs as well, which will be introduced eventually. AND their Heavies and Assaults are in general faster than IS-Heavies and Assaults.

And a single Mech doesn't matter that much when the capture-speed is as low as in Assault-Mode.
