1. If you see red smoke, run.
2. If there isn't a blue arrow above the Mech, shoot it.
3. If you are getting hit by missiles, find a shield (a rock, a building, your ally, etc.)
4. Standing still and shooting (a.k.a turreting) doesn't work if the enemy knows where you are.
5. If the enemy is shooting at you, move to make it hard for them to shoot.
6. If you/your ally has missiles, use the "R" button to lock on the enemy.
7. Use T to all chat. You can use this to say bad things at people.
8. Use Y to team chat. You can discuss strategies or tell your teammates they suck.
9. Alt+F4 is the magical button when things aren't working,
10. Aim for the biggest part of a Mech (the center/side torsi).
11. This will earn you
12. Always never split off from your team.
13. If you can't aim, use lazers.
Following these magic steps gives you a basis to grow on and get better with.
If any of these steps confuse you, feel free to contact me. Dull-witted questions will receive dangerously caustic sarcasm.

I sure do hope I come across that JM6-DD in battle so I can equip my popcorn module and watch the show as your insane amount of AC20 ammo cooks off your skeleton.

I run this build, and the funny part would be how quickly 40 pinpoint damage hurts your Mech.
Also, people say CASE doesn't help with an XL engine. I CASE my ammo in that build and haven't had an ammo explosion in 3-6 months. I took it off once and died of an ammo explosion first match. So you can CASE the JM6-DD, if you care to.

That must be a fluke. CASE prevents an ammo explosion from spreading to adjacent sections, but it will still take out the section where it happened.
The reason why you don't have many ammo explosions is because all of your ammo works as crit padding. When you get hit in the internals you have a % chance (I forget the actual number) to take a critical hit. That critical hit will be assigned to a random component in that location and will deal it's damage to whatever it hit. Each component has 10 hit points (except Gauss and the AC/20). If the weapon doesn't destroy the component then nothing happens. You have to take another crit and have it hit the same component again (and maybe again and again) before it gets destroyed. After all of that, there is a relatively small percent chance that the ammo actually explodes. That's why ammo explosions are rare. CASE is about the most worthless piece of equipment in the game right now. You would actually get better crit protection by taking another 1/2 ton of ammo.

I recently got the drop on a Jagermech AC40 (literally) in my Treb 7M. He was behind a ledge on HPG. Sent 3xSRM6 plus a ML strike into his right leg and it blew off. Took one alpha to a leg, then got behind him and blew off the other leg. And here I was wondering why some had so little on the legs......

I don't get this one at all.. If you can't aim, Use Streaks or LRM's, or a Big AC, that way you can slowly line up shots, or brawl, because the closer you get the easier it is to hit things..

Actually i love that build.... (well when i am on a fast/Long range mech.. Nothing i like more than finding an AC-40 mech, then getting 600+m out and killing them while they can't do a single thing to damage me..
