They really should release the TDR-7SE, even though it won't be a hero 'mech. It's got jump jets and ECM. There's still no heavy 'mech with ECM even though lights, mediums and assaults already have at least one.

I'd bite that. :)

I would love to see one, but hard to make it unique without turning it into a fat shadowhawk (like shoulder mounted balistic plus missiles) or Jaegermech-A (dual B/M in each arm).

Maybe something similar to this:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8937d8175ca9b4c
A PPC in each arm, one LRM10 or 15 in each shoulder plus the 3ML left side.

or something close to this:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...129183327e71a48
one Balistic in each arm, or at least the right arm, one missile 10/15 in each shoulder plus the 3ML left side.

or another symetrical version with slots like this:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b1afbb87c87280c
with 2-3 Energy in each side torso and one Balistic in one of the arms.

I reeeally hope they trot this out sometime soon! It needs to be that ECM version too; we don't have any ECM Heavies! :P

May I suggest this one from Sarna?
TDR-5S-T Thunderbolt Tallman The personal ‘Mech of Bremond DMM commander Leftenant-General Mary Tallman during the DCMS's Third Succession War invasion of Galtor III, only the large laser remains, with the rest of the standard weaponry replaced with a brace of four medium lasers in each side torso. The remaining weight and space is devoted to eight additional heat sinks

Yes! I love my 9s and just got a 5s in the recent sale. I'd love a Thunderbolt hero, maybe with ECM!

I would want to buy a TDR that's like the 5S but with jump jets and maybe a +10% torso twist speed quirk.

I really hope that the TDR Hero is the next one they release. That would be terrific!

There is a canon hero Thunderbolt in our timeline.

TDR-5S-T Thunderbolt Tallman

The personal ‘Mech of Bremond DMM commander Leftenant-General Mary Tallman during the DCMS's Third Succession War invasion of Galtor III, only the large laser remains, with the rest of the standard weaponry replaced with a brace of four medium lasers in each side torso. The remaining weight and space is devoted to eight additional heat sinks. BV (2.0) = 1,447[32]

It has 4 energy LT, 4 energy RT, 1 large laser (RA). While fantastic in BT, in MWO this thing would need some serious energy quirks due to heat issues.

It's likely PGI will come up with its own design. Personally I'd also like to have jumpjets on it.

What was the name of that Clanner in Pirates Clothing? The one with the PPC in each arm... the Red Corsair or something?

The Red Corsair would be an awesome name for a Thunderbolt Hero... with JJ and a PPC in each arm.

The Red Corsair piloted a Battlemaster 2C variant with a PPC in each arm :)

I'm pleased to see a revival of this thread!

The three things I want to see on the TDR Hero are:

1) ECM
2) Engine cap higher than 315
3) Shoulder mounted Ballistics

The ECM is really needed now that the Clan Loki has premiered, while the engine cap would be icing. The ballistics, though possibly not going to happen, would be pure awesomeness!

What I really hope we don't see is another laser boat. The TDRs we have already have a large focus on energy builds and energy quirks; it's time to see one with a focus on ballistics! :)

PGI has already taken the plunge by creating their own Enforcer variant, so creating an ECM Thunderbolt (or any other Heavy) is a no-brainer. However, to be fair there can be only one.

Saw thread title, was going to reference TDR-5S-T Thunderbolt Tallman
Read thread
Found at least three references to same variant
Head exploded

In all seriousness, though, at this point I really do not care what they choose, as long as it has speed. I want my Thunderbolt to be fast like it was in MechWarrior 3050, darn it!

I think a ballistics and missile variant would be more interesting then more energy repeats honestly. Maybe duel shoulder racks lrms, ballistics and energy on each arms, and some energy in each torso or some kinda mix like the Jager A with different hard point placement.

Tallman's Thunderbolt seems like a good hero mech.
