Looking for some suggestions on my Banshee 3M energy boat. I'm not getting the damage output or the punching power I wanted, and being an energy boat, it's just so darn hot.

Here's my current build:

This weapon loadout works well on my stalker, and there are no other modifications other than the weapon swap, so it may be worth a shot.

Pulse laser boats work well too, with range being the obvious drawback.

Just tried out your build, Roughneck. I finished the first match with >600 damage and 3 kills. I know one match isn't the best check, but it definitely feels better and seems to handle the heat better (yes, I am accounting for the lack of ghost heat).

That is my take on solahma's wubanshee. It is a beast. When mastered can alphastrike 4 times without overheat(on a cool map). Very fun build. The 43 shs provide better cooling that 20 dhs could. It can't snipe, but man can it melt faces up close.

My favorite awesome build is 2 PPC's and 2 Large pulse, with PPC's in the torsos and Pulse in the arm. Being able to snap shot the pulse with the arm is very useful against lights.

If it's overly cooled, I could always add an SRM for just a bit more punch.

I've mastered all three non-hero Banshees and while most people like the DAKKA BNC-3E (my version), the BNC-3M Fast Laser Boat has become my favorite after tinkering with various energy boat loads. It suits my play style as I'm not a very good pilot or shot LOL :op

I started with BNC-3M PPC Boat 2x ERPPC 4x PPCs and 350XL chain firing which I have to say was incredibly fun but not hugely effective for me as I'm not a great shot with PPCs and once they got within 90m I was screwed especially with lights and mediums. I played around until I put in a 400XL, 4x ERLL, 2x MPL, 2x ML and 11 DHS.

The fast laser boat is my favorite build of all, it's FAST for a 95 ton assault at 75KPH, torso twist is so reactive and like 150 degree radius. I'm regularly doing 400-800 damage a match and surviving a pounding. It's fast enough to scoot away from LRMs and other heavies and assaults.

Since I love firing twin PPC and since I had an XL400 engine from my Boar's Head I went for this quite heat efficient, fast running, hard hitting build. The twin PPC being on the same side torso allow better accuracy, reducing the chance that one of them will hit an obstacle. The 6xMPL's deliver a quick devastating close range punch with better damage/heat ratio. It has been performing really well. You can exchange one heat sink to place an AMS + 2 tons of ammo (reduce leg armor). You can also exchange the XL400 for STD350 (with reduced leg armor to compensate for the extra tonnage).

I did this build. Cheap and works. I am terrible with assaults, but this build is like a slow hunchback. 54kph with the std engine i had on hand. 5ml, 1mpl, 2ll, gobs and gobs of single HS.

I went with something like this. Pretty vanilla. I also tried 4ERLL and many HS. Banshee's a weird, weird mech.
