Dear Kit Fox pilots,

Yes your brand new shiny mech' is a wonderful toy and very versatile and we all know how we love playing with things that are new. This is just a reminder that as your dropping as a lance and would like your lance mates to deal with those 80 plus tonne mech's so you can get in behind them, your lance mates would also like somethings from you as well. I have noticed from many battle fields that so many of the new kitties with ECM automatically go and climb the biggest hill or find the remotest spot, sometimes even huddling together under double ECM umbrella. Which generally allows the LRM's from the oppersition to wreak havoc on the TEAM. So i'm just going to throw a few words at you it's up to you if you allow them to sink in.

1. Check the load out of your team, if you are the only one with an ECM don't run and hide stay with the team.
2. If there are more than one ECM mech make sure you all don't just run and hide.
3. Even if you start the match covering your Heavier breathren dose not mean you have to stick the whole match there is a certain point when your lone wolf instinct can kick in and scout out them corners, spotting incoming threats and running back to the heavies for support.
4. If you lone wolf it (go hunting), your assuming that any inner sphere clan mech will be piloted someone lesser skilled or is in a slow light. If the light is faster than you they will be able to dictate the engagment.
5. Your mech is well armoured and has great range with its weapons it excells at snipeing and close support.
6. With the oppersition been able to field kit foxs that can carry LRM's the standard hide behind the building tactic for avoidance is diminished because the Kit Foxs can redeploy so fast. So what scares an LRM Kit Fox, ANYTHING getting close! That is when going aggresive with your ECM works.
7. If your surpporting the team it dosnt mean you cant be earning your scrap rights (C-bills) or improving (XP). If you have a kit fox set up with ecm it should mean your running around popping your head up in different places spotting enemy mechs taking pot shots at them
waiting for the correct time to strike.

If you dont have an ECM module on your Kit Fox just keep these ideas in mind for when you do and set up accordingly. But if you do have ECM Don't run and hide all your mech brothers will love you to stay and play!

Before the Kit Fox came out with c-bills i played my KFX-Prime with ECM as your standard ER-PPC and medium lasers. You can have fun, get Kills, earn c-biils and win.

Meh, dont worry.
Kitfoxes that run off away from the heavy herd dont live long anyhow. They are too slow to get out of trouble.
The Jenner and FS pilots will figure this out.
The bad players will just cry that LRMs are too OP because their P2W shinyfox got carpetbombed when he was scouting/sniping.

Everything you just said (apart from LRM stuff) is exactly what i've been doing with a Cicada-3M for centuries.

There is no reason to run a Kit Fox without ECM. The Storm Crow has the same speed, more armor, more tonnage for weapons and can everything a Kit Fox can do - no jump jets but that is a minor disadvantage. So for gods sake, use the ECM you have.

Actually, there is a reason to run kitfox without ecm. 4x CSrm6's and 2x Cmguns with a couple jump jets. Yes, it's a close range support style/brawler assist mech but, sooooo much fun. Even with Ghost Heat you can use the speed "yes, it's not a real light" but, it's still fast enough to find cover. ECM just makes you the priority target imo and as a slow light... usually best not to draw attention to yourself. But, meh... Yes, running off on your own to play sniper usually ends badly in a Kit Fox. Anywho.. think I'm out of things to ramble on about.
