Any idea when PGI might give us some? Be nice to lose a few jump jets on my Summoner.

I am going to guess that is going to be saved for the greater part of next year. Unless they already had that in the works.

Yeah. Some variants are very nice. More omnipod would be welcome.

The jump jets on the Summoner are hardwired so no new omnipods are going to give you ability to remove jump jets.

As VannilaG says. Certain components come hardwired into the frame of the chassis. Such examples include the jump jets on the Nova and Summoners, and the heatsinks in the side torso of the Warhawk. Such components cannot be removed.

Whether or not we will get new OmniPods remains to be seen. I suspect that eventually we will, but when remains the key question. As it is many, if not most, of the cannon configurations available at this time are already replicable, though some (such as any of the missile-armed Nova configurations) are not. I too look forward to the Dire Wolf S, because who does not want a 100-ton jump-capable mech?

Here is one.

If we must have a jumping Assault, it must be either the Executioner or, hopefully, the Mad Cat Mk. II

Jumpjets are hardwired into the Summoner meaning every single variant has them and cannot be removed. That is what it means to have hardwired components in an omnimech.

All examples of hardwired equipment in the mechs we have now include:
>The flamethrower in the Adder's CT and the heatsink in each side torso.
>All engines, endo-steel, and ferro-fibrous slots on any omnimech.
>The double heat sink in the Direwolf's side torsos and left leg.
>All five jumpjets in the Nova and Summoner.
>The two double heatsinks in the Kitfox's left torso and the one heatsink in its CT.
>The two heatsinks in each of the Nova's side torsos.
>The double heatsinks in the Warhawk's right torso, both legs, and the four in its left torso.
>All heatsinks in an omnimechs engine.

The most change I would expect to see in a Summoner variant involving jumpjets would be a hero Summoner with a jumpjet in each side torso giving the option of 5-7 jumpjets.

They have never said we'd be getting any NEW omnipods for existing chassis, so I wouldn't hold my breath.

I wonder if they would allow you to buy any Hero omnipods for MC if they ever decided to release Hero Omnimechs? That way you don't have to buy the entire mech, just the pod(s) that you want for MC.

How about some omnipods for the Summoner that are not utter trash, hmm?

Oh dear.. Surely you didn't reference that thing created by the money grubbing Clan.

I know that the jump jets are hardwired. I'm talking about getting new legs without having jump jets in them.

Sorry, but you answered yourself here. The JJs are hardwired. They are part of the chassis, basically.
