Please try to answer the following questions in your feedback:
  • What is your average ping in the Public Test?
  • How does your ping compare to the Live environment?
  • Did you experience any de-syncs in-game?
  • Did you experience any stalls while saving in the front end?
  • If experiencing negative connectivity; What is your ISP, connection type and advertised speed?

From France, I have ~105ms on public test server. On prod servers, i have about 120/130ms so it's better.

Greece

Ping (at the moment) in Live: ~168

Ping in Test Center: ~ 178

No desyncs.

No save lag.

ISP: Cyta
VDSL
33 Mbit down / 3 Mbit up.

In general, not a big difference.

When I logged into test server I went to put my modules in my mech and saw that some of them were missing. I checked the mech I had them in last on the regular server and they weren't there either. So I logged out of the test server and back into the regular server and there they were in the same mech I checked while in the test server. I pulled them out, saved, and then logged off and re-entered the test server. They are still not showing up anywhere in the test server.

Portugal, Fiber connection 50Mb/s Down / 5Mb/s Up

Around 120-130. The usual.
Experiencing a bit of rubber banding and warping, just as we are getting on production servers at the moment. Nothing better, nothing worse.

The servers are not connected in any way. The Testserver has a copy of your mechs from yesterday.
You got enough money on the PTS, just buy whatever you want. ;)

I just got a few games and will try tomorrow again. Thanks to having 24h time B)

  • Playing from Sweden, ping seemed to average 122
  • Ping on live servers is around 128
  • No de-syncs yet
Edited to add;

Having multiple instances of the game freezing (Sound still runs) and needing to ctrl/alt/delete to get the game active again. I believe there were problems with this some time back, seems it's resurfacing.

I have a 100mb connection with the Swedish ISP ComHem.

Ping is down to 90 from 110 (although a couple of months ago it was 90 on live anyway).

Frontend seems marginally more responsive, but still hangs quite a lot sometimes, such as switching to the purchasable mechs tab.

Sky broadband 10down/1up

The usual, nothing I would say has gotten worser or better.

Connection type: Cable
Adv. Speed: 32 MBit

I don't think so.

Verizon DSL, 12Mbps up, 1 Mbps down

I don't think the server was the problem... it's the netcode that needs work and I spoke to Karl Berg about that in game.

  • How does your ping compare to the Live environment?
    114-120
  • Did you experience any de-syncs in-game?
1 in 6 drops. Was able to reconnect
  • Did you experience any stalls while saving in the front end?
On production mech save takes an age (100+ mechs). Test is similar, possibly longer.
In both cases it typically takes 20-30s to save a mech. On test it felt like 1min in a couple of cases.

Observations. I am in Portugal, by the way.

Ping - Seem to be around 140ms. I usually have 130-160ms on the current production server, IIRC, so it may be slightly lower.
De-Syncs - Well, the only issue so far I have experienced was consistent with a temporary connection loss, but I can't rule out it being on my end. Only once so far so... otherwise been stable.

I haven't tried to modify mechs yet.

What I have noticed, and since I can't find a topic for it, is that this public test build is consistently tripping a rare issue that I rarely experience in production. Renderer basically locking up after match starts (usually near the beginning). It's going so far as crashing now. Roughly half the games I did had this happen to me. :/

Thankfully, rejoin works.

I may need to update drivers and cross fingers if this keeps happening.

Some of my teammates are reporting desync.

Saving still takes the same amount of time, as well as connecting.

Ping is still the same around 64ms.
