Frustrated With The Kitfox

I'm keeping a kitfox with ECM / UAC5 / 2xERML
I'm keeping a kitfox with ECM / 2xLPLS
What do I do with this third one? I've struggled with the kitfox and I confess I don't particularly like it. It's slow and it's made of paper. It seems like anything you do with it a medium (IS or Clan) will do better.

Its importance will come into play when we finally have Clan vs IS matches. If you theoretically remove the Kif Fox's ECM from play then the Clans are going to suffer from LRMs like never before. Now they usually ride along the IS ECM mechs and it doesn't really show but an all Clan team without Kit Fox's support is going to have a bad day.
Assuming they are actually balanced some time in the future, because as the Clans are right now, they can just bully the IS with a charge and overrun them easily as the multiple Clan vs IS matches showed.

3xERML
ECM
Mark I Computer
Works for me. Solid performance all around as a pokey mech

1ML, ECM on C arm
2MPL prime arm
LBX5 RT with 2 tons ammo.
or
2 LPL
2 SL
prime and s arm for that one
the LL burn time is too long now for the fox to handle since you need to be exposed so long.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...d498990ded77fdd <-narc finisher. Terrible damage output, but good for causing your team to focus a target and then finishing it off yourself.
Otherwise, UBC's build is also a very good option.

YOU DONT HAVE TO ALWAYS HAVE ECM TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS GAME...

1 - 4x SSRM4 (3.5 ammo), 2x MG (1 ammo), 1 JJ, CAP
2 - 2xLRM15 (2 ammo i think), ECM, 2x MG (1 ammo)
3 - ECM, 2 MPL, 2 MG (1 ammo), 3x AMS (2.5 ammo), 2 JJ (support)
They all have thier niche, but i like the 4x SSRM4 version, it is great to see lights run in fear when they see that many streaks incoming.
Just remember, the kit fox plays more like a medium with light armor, so stay close to your group. If you get caught alone, it is going to go bad very quick.

I haven't gotten around to skilling up my kitfoxes so I've been doing that during this weekend's event, so I basically stripped the omnipods off the two mechs I'm not using to make a build, then I transfer it to the others when I want to level up that chassis.
I'm currently using the KFX-D with the C right arm, the S torsos, and the Prime left arm. Here's the build. You can also opt to put both CERLLs on the left arm; I kind of 'hedge my bets' with one in each so I'm not almost defenseless if I lose the left arm, and so I can peek around both left and right corners while still being able to fire on a target.
Edit: Just popping back because with the above build I got a 3 kill, 9 assist, 1107 damage match. Basically it was on caustic and both teams were defending and picking away - the CERLLs really came into their own.

Sure, its totally a troll build, but it sometimes works cos no one expects that tiny cute fox to wreck their face with a 48 alpha

I can vouch for the Splatfox, it's hilarious.
Probably the "best" build I've used is ECM, ERPPC, NARC, ERML and AMS/JJ's/DHS to taste.

But the twin CER-PPC is pretty fun on alpine too...
But it's nowhere near as durable or consistently performing as a TwERLL Raven or Spider.
