Weekly Review – June 22nd

I think it goes without saying that this was one of our biggest weeks yet. From Weekly Screenshot 8 to Ask The Devs 7, then the incredible (and to most, very surprising) BattleMech 13: Trebuchet. Oh yeah, then we had the Founder’s Package launch, which was a pretty big deal! We’re incredibly pleased with the interest, and seeing all those Founders Tags on the forum is incredible – and we want to thank every last one of you for your faith and excitement. We could not have done all of this without you!

Stay tuned for more info, more releases, even more ‘Mechs to come!

Again, a thanks to every one of you out there, whether you bought a Founders Pack or not, we’re all part of the best franchise in gaming.

Cheers,

The MechWarrior Online Team

I was surprised at how many legendary tags have been showing up, but I'm damn happy about it.

It's been far to long since the BT Universe carried any weight. Glad to see a little steam starting back up for my all time favorite pen and paper gaming universe.

Just as long as you guys remember that "you better deliver, or it's ER PPC to your NDA depository". ;)

I have loved the BT universe since I played my first Mechwarrior game at the age of 6. By that time I didn't even have any idea what BT was but I'm glad that I found the BT universe at such a young age.

Our pleasure.

Having waited 10 years through all the problems, with the license remaining unused with Microsoft for so long, I'm sure I speak for everyone here in hoping that the commercial success of the game is unprecedented. It's in our interest to see this venture is a success as without this we will have no place to hang our neurohelmets. Show Microsoft what they could have done had they had the vision and determination that Piranha has.

So good luck, and lets hope you get the numbers you need, on top of the obvious brand loyalty you guys already have from us.

I would like to see something about the problems that people have been having with the purchase of the founder's packages like double charging, card refusals, unable to select the custom mech when choosing the elite package, etc. It would be nice to have these problems acknowledged and know that they are working to fixing the issues.

More 'Mechs. Minigames, etc.

Oh and you guys need to produce a Chess set with BattleMechs on it.

They STILL couldn't have done it right. Sorry Microsoft.

I will second my sincere wish for a steady and record-breaking number of players to flood in and help support the progressive development of this title over the years to come.

How is Mechwarrior Online going to be played. Is it just a group of players placed in a map to battle to out or will it have player vs envroment missions like in the Mechwarrior series.
