I'm not big on long posts, so I'll get to the point. Wouldn't it be cool if IS mechs identified Clan mechs differently? For example, my Atlas would see a Timber Wolf and tag it as a Mad Cat, just like in the lore. It's just a suggestion for the sake of immersion.

Yes, that's a feature that I wanted too. It's a good idea, simple to implement, and a lot of people like it.

All I know is that the people that are not familiar with the IS-Clan names on some mechs will actually have to learn them.
I keep wanting to say Madcat on coms, but have to say Timberwolf because of it. It should be good practice to learn both names of the same mech.

It would be wonderful if I could see the loadouts of my teammates on my hud too like I can see one of enemies, have a narc warning icon and betty warning and so many more things...

Maybe designate the Mechs in the shop and mechbay with both names like: Warhawk (Masakari).

Just make sure there is a tutorial or FAQ for the new guys if this is implemented. I would suggest an option that one can check to make the Clans be identified with their IS names from IS mechs so that new players aren't confused.

An in-game wiki with all the names and lore would be nice.

It's a great idea and nice fluff, but it'll never happen due to the confusion (or potential thereof) for new players.

Make it a personal option, like "Show founders Tag" etc.
