This has just started happening for me and it took a while to notice it. Repair tool found no issues.

Basically what happens is the match starts and my pilot starts flipping switches and powering up the mech, all in complete silence.

After he finishes and the mech powers up, the HUD appears as normal. Game sounds turn on.

Then Betty starts talking about "Reactor Online" etc.

This happening for anyone else?

It has happened to me on and off since we got UI2.0. Same as the cockpit being invisible until i move the mouse.

Ditto. Getting this issue occasionally as well. Not game breaking, but it's there.

Greetings all,

As I remember the sound files are in the ogg format, what default player is set to operate this in game sound?

- Do they have the ogg codex? Or are they converting it to another format to play the sound?
(which could cause some delay in playing the sound)

Windows media player does not have the ogg codex by default, quicktime does, but these codex can be installed.
- You stated that this is just something new that is happening, have you checked for any changes in your default sound device or updated the drivers?

Never had this issue before, and now my Stalkers in particular seem to be getting it. Only been occurring since the migration.
The vindicator one is a bit different as it includes shaking

Similar issue. After the ready screen, I get a pause with the terrain in view, then a few (like two or three beeps) start up sounds, and then I'm in the match. No start up video at all. Seems to happen in all mechs on all maps.

As most, only started after the migration. Repair tool didn't find any problems.

Not sure if my problem in sound is the same but I frequently experience delayed sound on ALL Vindicators.Ane if equiped with MG's or Aims they sound if they continually fire. That is sometimes before I actually fire my Machine Guns!!!!,LOL. bear
