How do you think is it good idea to allow MWO players C-Bills transactions?

It keeps being suggested since a few years. The problem is, that some ppl could benefit from a new accounts cadett bonus and transfer it to their main account. That could be solved by a rule which allows only 3 (or more) months old accounts to send money.

But in general i would tend to say, let ppl gift their unused Hero mechs to friends.

No way in hell, this just makes c-bill farming and selling it for money viable.

PGI's made it clear they don't want that to happen, ever, so it's simply not happening.

Transferring C-bills between players would enable an illegal Black Market where people could exchange money behind PGI's back, in violation of the game's Terms Of Use.

It's not only unlikely, but would result in significant illegal activity, unfortunately.

Most we can expect with regards currency transfer between players is MC, but PGI/IGP could technically object even to that ("No! Your MC is exclusively your MC! Everybody has to buy their own MC! Buy more!")

Why would you buy it from a gold farmer when you can already buy it in game?

Of course this. Duh. If there's a buck to be made, someone will do it.

Could also lead to things like top units "recruiting" top pilots with C-bills.

It would just encourage hacking attempts and c-bill farmers, c-bill selling spam and all that crap!

In the current CBill economy, that would be a pretty reasonable thing to do.

I dont see how a mech auction house could be abuse tho. They should totally allow us to auction off mechs to players for c-bills.

Allowing players to trade will promote FOR PROFIT people moving into the game ruining it like so many other online games.

You are right, every online game that allows trading between players is ruined, and the companies that made them all went bankrupt. MWO is literally the only game online left.

All sarcasm aside, how exactly would mech auctions let gold farmers make money?

So what is it with being able to deposit money into your factions bank? I know right now you can't withdraw, but there must be some purpose for it right?

Yes i think an INGAME "black" market would be cool.

Wouldnt be anti lore either. Mech commanders and mechwarriors buy sell and trade their mechs/parts all the time

"Auction" off a stripped down locust for 40,000,000 cbills. Pay the farmer. They win the auction.

That can be prevented by limiting auctions up to 100% of the mech or parts value. At that point, I don't see PGI doing it anyway because it causes less cbills to disappear to the void. Ever upgrade a mech to DHS then sell it? It feel like selling your car for a pack of gum.

*Oh, and there might be a legitimate reason to auction it off for 40,000,000 cbills. The thing could be pimped out with MC paintjob.

They would be idiots if they allowed players to exchange c-bills in any way.

Here's the main reasons why:

1. Farming. Players would create multiple fake accounts to get cadet bonus, then transfer the funds to their main account.
2. Black Market Farming. The Chinese would be ALL over this like white on rice. You'd be able to buy millions of c-bills for a fraction of what you'd have to spend through PGI.
3. Phishers/Hackers. As it is now, there is very little reason to hack another player's account, aside from just being a jerk. If players were capable of transferring c-bills and other goods, that would change.
