We had some good chatter going on in the last thread, let's keep it going. We even had a chap who 'literally wee'd himself' so that's a ringing endorsement if I ever heard one. Keep it civil, lads.

99% of the time DHS are better because the tonnage available to maximize cooling, But in the cases where tonnage isnt an issue and you plenty of free crits if you can fit more then 42 SHS without gimping your build (if you care for if your build is gimped) then you will ahve better cooling then someone with DHS carrying the most possible (atlas with max engine rating can only fit 26 total DHS before running out of crit space and that doesn't even leave rooms for any real weapons)
Same atlas though (if you went XL engine) could fit about 50 SHS wouldnt have much room for weapons but could get some in there.

Edit : I should paint it red so it moves faster.

You'll have to post that build, although 20 DHS are inferior to 40 DHS.
26 DHS gives you 4.876, maths were off.
23 DHS gives you 4.393
40 SHS gives you 4.6. I don't believe the Awesome can fit 26 DHS, since my WubShee can only mount 23 with an XL400. If it's a STD Awesome, that might be an acceptable build, but XLs are suicide with the new hitboxes.
Keep the videos coming, they are very amusing.

It's like they can sense that you are using single heatsinks. And they think somehow makes you not a threat.
And red wunz do go faster.

I think he's talking about the heat efficiency quirks on the Awesome. It would have better cooling than my build but it violates the golden rule of this video: Lostech is for losers.

An additional 10% cooling!
I forgot about that. 25% bonus...is pretty damn big.
AWS-WUB
So, 12*0.14
+2
*1.25
That gives a cooling of 4.95, on top of having less heat from E weapons.
That is pretty nice. Slow as balls, though. WubShee moves at 75.

However, switching to DHS, I was able to cram in 23 DSH and have tonnage left over to shove in the MAX ENGINE, the mighty 345 STD. With even more tonnage left over, I threw in a BAP for funsies, and STILL had room to spare, shame the Banshee won't take AMS. All of that, and I still ended up 45% heat eff!
All things considered, DHS still winds up being the much better option. I know I would rather scoot around at max engine speeds and carry extra equipment at the cost of 4% cooling.
(and yes, the AWE-8Q probably does this even better with its new heat quirks, but I will offer that the Banshee can survive a lot more punishment since it isn't the size of a small moon and carries more armour.)

I want to participate too!
Here you are --> something LITERALLY made of heatsinks

Your bashee generate excess of 5.89 heat per sec.
In the awsome you have an excess of 3.425 per sec. (So 2.465 hps less + 15 kph more of speed)
but I guess banshee pilot love there banshee

It's true. DHS is by far the more sensible option.

This is actually how mogdogolog and mine's idea first looked. But it had an XL. Lostech is losertech.

I am saying fake video unless I see a drop from beginning to end
You just put a bunch of shots together,I bet the Mechs where all within one inch of their lives and you happened to get the last shot in
Reason I say that is any load out I do with my AC's last maybe one day and then it gets nerfed
I was running a LBX10 and a AC20 the other day and was just knocking down mechs
Then all of a sudden people are on the forum talking about the LBX
I remounted my 3 AC2's today and the LBX and the heat was through the roof
I want to see a complete drop before I believe this
