A laptop is ment to be portable ... an i7 in a laptop is stupid

Depends on the usage really.

For my work I travel in Europe, but I stay 3-4 months in the same place then, so I just needed a desktop replacement. I would never play outside of my home/hotel anyway.

I don't know how an i5 would play, but with an i7 quad core, 12gb of ram and 755m turned out I got the minimum I wanted, HD res and medium settings @ 80 to 30 in the worse case FPS. Less would be not good for me ! (and I still have to set all on minimum @ hd res during the challenges, to never drop under 50 FPS)

I currently run MWO on a Laptop. I am running an ASUS R500V. I think I picked it up for around $550-$650. I run MWO with Graphics on High. Fan runs VERY HOT so don't play on your lap.
