Personally i think the CW idea of having to form a 12 man within 2 mins if your planet attack is kind of cool. But the chances you will be able to form a 12 man may be hard for some. This is why i think units should be able to form alliances with other units. Clans with clans and IS with IS units this would also help even out the IS since they have more factions as their mechs are inferior to clan mechs. After all the only advantage the IS had during operation revival was their numbers. I also think it's better to drop with let's say 7 falcon warriors and 5 wolf warriors, rather then dropping with a lance and a bunch of pugs. Cause we all know pugs make it difficult to win. Does anyone know if alliances will eventuially be added?

This was part of the purpose behind the grand council community. Fostering interclan relationships and helping coordinate.

I do believe that is the function of the "Clan Loyalist" faction, but i could be entirely mistaken

As i understand it the CL are "Clan mercs" from a Tech point of view.
So they pretty much function as any other Unit.

tech point of view or not, that is slander.
I prefer the term "non represented clans" as I am sure many others do as well

This will be the benefit of having players from all over the world in your Clan, who will be on at different times of the day.

Non represented Clans. That is the Dagger Star's purpose. The Clans have no mercs, you know it very well ;)

Besides.. I agree with JC there. Sure, we must be more united than in lore, but ultimately it is a race, and every Clan is competing against each other. After all, only one Clan can become IlClan, quiaff? ;)

And, Grimwill, i think what you are saying is not even possible: defending units must be of the same faction o fighting for the same faction. What you propose would be like Steiner and Mariks defending a planet togheter. It cannot be done in MWO, and would make little sense too from a lore perspective :P

A ready unit would already have a 12 men ready, and units which do not have a high number of players in all the timezones (especially regional units like German/Russian Wolves) can just play in their peak time.

It will Force some Units to merge.
Which is ok in my opinion. CW is a Team Game.
You want power and planets? Then you need an army!

Right now it won't be separated in to factions that way if i understood right. The CW we will get is stompy Clans vs IS not Clan Wolf vs Davion.

Neg, Paul has already stated that the main focus will be IS vs Clan, but inter-faction fighting is still a thing
