Nah. Lag with a 46ms ping is still terri-bad. Lights skipping everywhere. Lots of jutter, playing with stable 30fps. Didn't help.

Yes, together with Windows 8.1

I use the avast internet security package and had the game not running issue earlier (w/AMD CPU). I have had no issues between the two programs for many months. So, this is a new issue, methinks.

For me, that combo looked great, but I couldn't hit anything. It's like the on-screen graphics lagged behind real time. Switched back to DX9 and it was much better. At DX11 I was cranking ~120fps, made no difference.

Turned it off, rebooted, and still got desynced just now, was shooting at an Adder when everyone suddenly froze for around 7-10 secs, and i ended up as iron scrap....lol

I have turned it off and it has helped a little. Normally my ping is 30-40 but sometimes when one of the kids starts netflix or something my ping will bounce to 3000. It only takes a second or two for it to get back but the desync lasts for 10-12 seconds which is frustrating.

I have those issues sometimes. I don t use Avas. I think you should check what happens to some I net connectionms with a ping of 100+ when 16 Clan LRM boats starts firing.

This might be your problem. Go back to DX9 and see if it's still jumpy.

I switched to DX11 a few days ago to test out the improved graphical quality (anti-aliasing). It looked nice, but it ran horribly - jumping around and rubberbanding like crazy. I switched back to DX9 and the problems vanished.

Then they should improve their Dx11 path...

Whaaaa? Well I guess it's worth a shot, I'll try that and see if it improves at all. I won't get a chance to test it today, but I'll come report back once I have. Very interesting, thanks. I actually had stellar performance of the game first half of the year, maybe this will get me back there!

I've noticed DX11 doing some goofy things. If I use my Logitech G500 mouse it's fine in DX11, but with my G700s there's noticeable input lag. DX9, the G700s has no input lag

Mine is not to question why...

ive had AV for years and i dont currently have dsync problems at least not related to MWO.

but my license for the year did expire so the live protections are all off.

Then I strongly advise you to renew it, after all it only requires a few clicks, costs nothing to renew(assuming you are using the free version) and with an expired Antivirus your system is even more vulnerable than usual.

if you do not want to renew then Microsoft Security Essentials is also free, almost as good as Avast and never needs renewing

Nope. Did not help. Still laggy and horrible HSR issues with low low pings. It's a them issue, it's not my stuff.

I actually do use Avast, will check this out tonight, hopefully it will help with the desyncs.

Will let you know how it goes.
