I think it could be a good thing actually. It could mean a bigger development team, and if they kept the original guys along as the designers it could have the updates at a more constant pace leading to some awesome development in the coming months.

I'm curious as to how they think they'll make back $2 billion on a video game...

I read that apparently MS forecast that it could happen at the end of this financial year.

I kind of thinks it's a good thing. For Notch. I mean, he's already made probably three lives worth of money, and Minecraft has grown way beyond what anyone could think of. If I were a programmer, I would obviously ditch the thing and become a hermit and talk sh*t with John Carmack on Twitter or something.

Slightly sad because I had a had a farfetched hope that they would update the PS3 version at some point (no im not the idiot that decided we should get PS3 instead of PC).
