I tried searching the forums and didn't find anything relating to this.... really shocked no one has suggested this.

Can we PLEASE get an icon or an alert from Betty when WE get narced?.Something we can see in cockpit so we know to go into cover before missile spam starts coming at us?

Yup. If we can tell when other mechs have been narced (enemies and friendlies) , we should be able to tell when we are too.
Even a little beacon icon on the right of the screen would be fine.

We should get a message from Betty stating "Foreign Object Detected, foreign object detected"

Perhaps, "@#$" Betty could be used to give an audio message concerning this. It would work and would not take that much programming to implement.

Greetings all,

There are quite a few verbal messages that 'Betty' has not used yet. All residing in the code and just not built into the game yet.

- The Dev.'s have mentioned that they will be doing a second recording session for additional sound bites for Betty.
- There is a message from Betty about 'sensor loss, and jamming' that is not used, it's in the files, but as of yet not used.

Any chance to get an Optional voice pattern?

Greetings all,

Reference using an 'optional or different' voice profile for the same info reports.

- Unless they are self recorded there may be copy-write issues or concerns if the voice item is 'ripped' or borrowed from other games or products.
- There are some free sources available, and others that are tied to key inputs, 'voice attack' comes to mind. But the format and message time length may be a concern, especially with multiple messages strung together.
- I seems to remember that the voice dialog is in the ogg format, so that alone may be a problem, especially if your software needs to convert the new format voice message before delivering it. (could cause a bit of a delay)

The voice of 'Betty' is iconic for BattleTech and was included in all there previous games, the only difference I see with MWO is Betty is a bit slow on the delivery of some messages. Some of the past MW games had the message system set to quite a fast delivery rate as there were many more types of messages that needed to be spoken. The rate or cadence of the MWO 'Betty' should be increased a bit, especially when numerous items are reported.

Again, Betty's voice is in the 'canon' of reference material now, altering the voice could or will 'break' that past reference.
- There could be a protocol for changing this voice if we look at the Clans, they modeled there language after the military ComStar of old, this could be a reason to change Betty to be more inline with there use of the language.
- There is a reference library of Clan 'speak' and what it means, perhaps this could be the reference PGI uses for 'updating' Betty for the Clans.

This has come up before. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT 23 other people in your area know you are NARC'ed and you are none the wiser. As a matter of fact, unless you have BAP or Command Console in the area, they should not know you are NARC'ed. Enemy team should not know you are NARC'ed if they don't have NARC compatible missles or the above. My 2 c-bills.

The way Narc, Tag, ECM, and BAP all interact is poorly designed in general right now. ECM got major buffs because of indirect fire LRM's. If missiles were fire and forget (once locked, they stay locked) and we eliminated indirect fire, then ECM could be better balanced. Then TAG, BAP, and NARC could all be better balanced in turn.

Its a domino effect that started back in closed beta with the indirect fire LRM concept.

LRM should be able to be fired indirect, from the map even, press B chose spot to launch at (within range) and fire away...

Also 1,000 M is silly stupid short range for Long Range Missiles...
