Squat bullet-like shapes sped away from the Adder Jumpship Blackfang. Propelled by GM-5600 drives burning a variety of masses for the sub-orbital assault, the four Pentagon class Dropships sped for the hard atmosphere of a planet none of the Touman knew the name of.

Or cared to.

Assault forces from the 173rd Hussar Cluster rode in the dropships Unijar and Mogai with additional forces from the 505th Assault Cluster within an hour's burn time from them. Fingers flew over controls, conducting pre-combat checks and diagnostics, even though the 'Mechs had checked out only hours before and had not moved from their drop cradles. Adders were nothing if not pragmatic and one more inspection while time remained...made eminent sense.

This would be yet another hot orbital drop, par for the course for the "Smoke Adders" of Theta Galaxy.

They would have it no other way.

Q: Are you a Warden or Crusader clan?

Q:What do you think of the Kerenskys?
A: While some clans see them as religious idols, Star Adder sees them instead as what they were. Extremely capable, but mortal, superb military tacticians who's deeds and creeds should be remembered and passed on.

Q: What is life like inside of Clan Star Adder?
A: Star Adders are a friendly bunch. Not quite as much as those oft drunken bears but pretty close! Infighting is rare, and everyone works towards a loose ideal of the greater good of the clan. Even Freeborn, Bondsman and the non warrior castes are all treated as equals. No one caste is better than the other. Unity is Purity!

Q:I'm from the Inner Sphere, what does this mean for me?
A: It means you will be conquered and claimed as Isorla and put to good use in your new clan once you have passed the traditional bondsman period. Fret not however, your dirty Inner Sphere heritage won't hold you back much in the clan. We come and conquer you merely to bring you enlightenment and enrich your lives rather than opress or destroy you like so many of the other Crusader clans. Q: Who are your enemies, and who are your allies?
A: Good question! The Star Adders like to be friends with everyone, but this sadly isn't always possible. As a result we have long standing feuds with Clan Coyote over a slight misunderstanding, and a much nastier one with Clan Jaguar because they are a bunch of stick in the muds who refuse to acknowledge our rightful claims. Meanwhile we hold excellent relationships with Clan Diamond shark though we do still see them as a sort of friendly rival. Clan Cobra are also fast allies and the Snow Ravens are pretty good too!

Q: Are you guys an RP Heavy clan?
A: Not really. We do some clan based RP now and then, use clan terminology and do the occasional clan like write ups but most of the time it's just people being people. That said there's some of us in the clan interested in RP related events and with enough people and interest in such activities it might be possible to have properly staged RP events. We infact have had some in the past!

CSAx joined forces with our Galaxy so we wanted to begin a fresh thread with that in mind. A fantastic group of pilots, many of whom I have known for going on a decade now so deserving of a clean recruiting thread.

Tonight the Adders field a team (more likely multiple teams) in the asymetric attacker/defender matches of Base Assault as envisioned by the MCW tournament. Should be a great night with an entirely different feel to it than a regular assault mode match.

Congrats to our seven warriors who attempted their Trials yesterday. Great fights in all cases. With twenty-eight Adders and two spectating friends of the Clan attending it was a fantastic event. Congrats as well to our newest Blood Officer who survived a brutally close challenge to earn that role in multiple rounds of our internal tourney.
