Tonight I witnessed another player do 1096 damage, in only 2 minutes and 32 seconds, which included the 30 to 40 seconds it took his Dire Wolf to walk from the spawn point to the first point where he could see the enemy.

Most impressive.

EDIT: In response to the genuinely REMARKABLE level of misunderstanding this simple well-intended post has created in the first three pages of responses, I am going to reiterate some of its key aspects IN CAPITAL LETTERS for the comprehension disadvantaged.

1. The 1000 point score was achieved IN TWO MINUTES. Yes, you've all had 1000 point games and that's not remarkable. Yes, you can score 1000+ in a Dire Wolf. That's not remarkable, either. What's actually remarkable is that this particular score was achieved in TWO MINUTES. Once again, it's the TWO MINUTES part which makes this unusual from all the other 1000 point games you've personally achieved or seen.

2. This ISN'T MY SCORE. This is ANOTHER PLAYER'S SCORE. Because it's NOT MY SCORE, I'm not boasting. I didn't achieve this score. It is SOMEONE'S ELSE'S SCORE.

3. I posted this scored only because I THOUGHT IT WAS INTERESTING. I thought YOU MIGHT FIND IT INTERESTING TOO. I have no problem with the score. I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS INTERESTING and that YOU MIGHT FIND IT INTERESTING TOO. That's all.

Good or do you mean OP? Saying you are good and showing a Direwolf, Timberwolf or Stormcrow is meh. Now, if that was a trial mech or some other subpar horrible chassis I would believe you. Direwolf and clan tech plus arty isnt that impressive.

Some interesting matches today. Is there going to be anything official said about it?

One of the more interesting matches today was a wipe. I noticed that it seemed like the other team could not miss my right torso. Literally couldnt miss it. So one guy on my team hid his right torso and left rest of mech out. Guess what? The guy shooting him couldnt hit him. Kept hitting the wall. Why can perfect accuracy (more correct word is lock) be foiled so easily?

I have noticed this exact same thing in an earlier match but it didnt really stand out till this happened. I wonder if anyone was streaming it.

Just players screwing around or is some kind of aim bot ruining matches?

(all kidding aside, what it really means is you didnt get left behind and ganked, which is what generally happens to DWs, so this is a minor accomplishment )

Yeah, Proton is an awesome player. That's not in dispute.


Still, that screenshot probably only shows what ammo explosions and Air-Strikes can do for your damage numbers, not how good he is.


Also, that's a Lords/Black Spikes 12-man up against a team pieced together by mixed smaller groups. The fact that Lords/BS lost two of their 'Mechs is actually kind of surprising.

Hey to break the news to you.. 1k Dire Wolf matches aren't that uncommon. Usually with more kills and assists though.

And more on topic I am not impressed with a D-wolf scores unless it had more than 7 enemy down per match. 7 and under is way to common.

most of us on here can post plenty of 1000+ dmg matches .. doesnt mean you are good it means you had a good match

You have a hard time getting out of spawn in that period of time.

...which is why it is very likely that damage number is inflated by ammo explosions and strikes.

which is why arty/airstrikes dont have a range and that makes it not as good as you think
