For some reason with these drivers and my 290, Vsync caps me at 50 fps (using the exact same settings as my old drivers...) plus a general reduction in overall framerate.

Used DDU, put back on the 13.12 WHQL...

bam, FPS is back up! I'm thinking that's where I'll keep it until MWO implements mantle or something, lol

Smooth as silk for me equaled froze my computer instantly once I hit the home screen. Had to reboot in safe mode and roll back drivers.

Sorry to hear that you have problems - the only Bug i know is not the GPU Driver but the "AHCI-Treiber 1.2.1.359" is reported to make trouble.

I did never used the "Raptr" crap which is no longer included so i have no experience to say if that may be a source of trouble.
Some pople said they had to reset the Overdrive Settings and make them anew and that some other 3rd Party Stuff can make trouble and "ULPS" should be disabled, whatever that is.

Some People had issues that were fixed with a Bios Update of their Graphic Card like some Sapphire 290 Cards..

I did not even uninstall the 14.4 WHQL but it is said Beta Drivers should be uninstalled.

It seems i am lucky and do not have any of such issues so 14.9 runs great for me.

ULPS ultra lower power state if you have msi afterburner you can disable it in settings. When I do run crossfire it brings up some massive performance gains 30%+ when disabled. I did a clean install and ran amd cleanup utility it didn't help. On the net I've seen some other 7950/r9280 xfire users getting the issue also.

I was prompted to upgrade to this yesterday and it caused crashes during install 3 straight times and then completely screwed over my computer's stability and I had to use system restore to go back a few days.

System restore said it failed when it restarted but clearly it didn't because everything was clearly rolled back to 9/28 that I could see.

I had the beta 14.7 on my PC which made problems in Football Manager 13 so i decided to go back to 14.4 WHQL which runs it well and unsintalled the 14.7 beta using the uninstall tool and installed 14.4 WHQL after rebooting my PC.

I installed 14.9 WHQL over 14.4 WHQL and it runs great for me, better than 14.4 WHQL.

My OS is Win7 x64 having Admin rights and using Avast! as security software, no Driver 3rd Party Tools, no handmade config mods.

too bad it doesnt work for laptops, since everything past 13.3 has destroyed the ability for me to play with my backlight settings

If you experience troubles and have wishes regarding the Driver it would be a good idea to tell AMD of it - you can do that here:
http://www.amdsurvey...A1E27D2245932A5

They were pretty busy lately making People report issues and to fix them.

I have used it too to Report the Football Manager 13 issue which has been fixed and i could not resist to write some things about MWO too.

It seems that there is a problem when the registry contains multiple entries and a german Forum has this Workaround:

PS: Using at own risk ;)

I got a blue screen crash on first install attempt, the second try seems ok. No change in fps but it does allow for mixed resolution eyefinity, no need to run my 1080p center monitor at 1050 anymore to match the sides.

I noticed one thing that might be important to some users. Installing the new Catalyst package reverts your monitor state to Yellow-Cobalt-Chromium instead of Full RGB. On my machine, this made MWO very very dark and all the text fuzzy. As soon as I set it back to Full RGB (under panel options) the rich colors came through again. I wouldn't be surprised if other settings got changed to default values too.

Tried it again last night....
50fps cap with vSync on. Very strange.

14.4 seems to be the sweet spot right now for my 290.

For triple screen users the new driver allows mixed-resolution monitors. I have left and right monitors with resolutions of 1680x1050 and middle monitor with 1920x1080. Previously I could only run at 5040x1050, now I can run at 5280x1050. Main benefit (apart from being able to run the middle monitor at it's proper resolution with the bottom 30 pixels as a black line) is that I can now see the full HUD, before I lost some of the HUD and chat text "behind" the bezels.
