I can't deal with monitors, or "keyboard bundles," and I shouldn't'a put in the OS, but whateves.

There where gobs of cheaper video cards in the same class; Point in fact, I could'a gotten a r9 280X, which is faster then a R9 285, for $10 less then what you picked. But only the GTX 9x0 was going to fit into something like the PSU you picked, so I took it as a hint about your electrical bill.

I played along with the mobo, but I boosted the voltage on the RAM a smidgen, so that's a gain.

Teh Hybrid HSDD is my newest schtick: 2TB, run though 7.8GB of "cache" …

Same CPU, bigger cooler (with good paste, too boot,) and a cheaper-yet-bigger case to hold it all. You problably want to add some intake fans, if you overclock, much …

Right.
  • Not the normal RAM speed, but I got a price
  • Teh Cheapest cross-flow card is an nVidia
  • $20 extra for a Gold Plus PSU to go with the overclock
  • A mobo with a heat pipe was also the cheapest 990
  • Do remember to recycle the LED 120mm once you have the closed-loop hung off the rear of the case, like as a front intake …

4690K is $190 Walk in at Micro Center while the Next Cheapest is NCIX for $220 (+ Shipping, Whatever that would Cost)

I suspect it was a mistake on NCIXUS part (which has now been corrected) as when i was doing my morning trawl of hardware forums i came across the below

http://www.mmo-champ...=1#post33612393

And when i checked the part list myself it did indeed show the I7 4790K at $224

Jebus, Macy's, and Joey Ramon: Look at that price. And yet there's still a R9 280 out there for $150 …

The PSU has a little wiggle room for more fans (read: A case with a USB 3.whateves patch,) but not for a bigger card not-named "GTX9x0."
