Just got the third card today -- no tweak, all stock clocks (including processor), running asus x99 deluxe mobo, 16g 2800 ddr ram, 3x evga gtx 980 sc, and intel 5960x-- score made it to number 50 on all time hall of fame in 3dmark (look for "jtg"):

firestrike:
score: 26,632
graphics: 37,858
physics: 20,213
Combined: 9,694
(ranked #50!)

Firestrike extreme:
score: 14,819
Graphics: 17,775
Physics: 20,089
Combined: 5,613
(number 100 on the 3dmark hall of fame list was a 4x titan z, total score 15,408)

Haven't tried with MWO, but I'm sure since I had crazy high fps on one monitor and 2-way sli, my fps will drop like a rock :-)

a lot of 4x titan z's and 4x 780s at stock speed further down the list than me --- when they come out with the 980 ti, these cards are going to dominate.

I'm running monitors in surround, so, forgot the exact resolution, but around 5,000x1200. running the same resolution using two cards gave me very good fps -- around 50-60 average with dip into the 40s. To be honest, I don't expect the third card to have much impact on mwo

I haven't tried with three-way sli, but two way works fine.

And to be clear, by "work" I mean that I get really good FPS, with no crashing --- I have no idea if I'm utilizing both cards.

We'll find out when I get a chance to run MW with the three-way set up.

from what i had heard MWO does not benifit from SLI unless you tweak with the file settings.

I am no expert but I think only one of the GTX 980 is running. nevertheless, GTX 980 is a very powerful card and I am amazed how much GPU powa it got to push the triple screen setup

No announcements, but if history is any indication, we can expect it by the summer. I doubt they'll do it before the end of the year, but anything is possible. These cards are amazing -- I'm looking at 3dmark rankings, with 3 of these cards, I'm beating rigs using the same mobo, processor, and ram, that use 4x gtx 780 ti, and rigs using 4x titan zs...
