Just ran canyon network, 12x12 match, actually became pretty close quartered ... fps ranged as usual, between high 40s - 60s, running three monitors in surround at a resolution of 5760x1200.
same setup as before, with one added video card. (5960x, overclocked to 4.4ghz, 3x evga gtx 980 sc):

Certainly seems to be the story across the board! Like the game caps out regardless of hardware

Out of curiosity, what CPU are you running?
Also, what MWO settings?

I actually saw a measurable difference when I went from 1 980 to 2... not a lot, but decent. Adding a third did zilch.

And it's not my cpu as I'm running a 4770k at 4.6ghz.

See above. 3 vs 2 doesn't make a difference.

I think most of what people with high-end PCs are experiencing is due to server lag.

there are a bunch of folks that have posted possible settings to use to 'make it work' but they don't really work and cause more issues.
People should post in the geforce forums asking for an SLI profile for the game. It is the only way its going to happen....
I would LOVE for SLI to work because I want to use DX11 which doesn't really work with multiple video cards even if you disable SLI and set it to single card/single monitor only.

In case you may have missed my original posting of the message from Matthew Craig from September.
"sorry to keep you and the rest of the community hanging on SLI support, we pushed to get it finished and ran into an Nvidia driver bug but just for DX9 which they are resolving. They uncovered two issues with DX11 SLI support one just got fixed the other is deep in the engine and needs further investigation and we are trying to find time to address it so that we can turn it around to Nvidia and hopefully.. finally.. get our SLI profile resolved.
So almost there but I'm not making any promises on time frame other than as soon as we can get it moving again. Again sorry for the delay we are just as keen as you to get this one resolved it is not off our radar".
Needless to say do not get your hopes up on SLI being supported any time soon

EDIT: Settings all at maximum for 1080p. DX9 though because MWO gives me micro stutters with DX11. I can run Crysis 3 on max except AA and get similar fps. With AA at max my fps drops to 30-40s. My cpu will be getting upgraded to a 4770k and OCed but until then this little i5 works fine for games.
