I turned both on in the control panel and it absolutely made a noticible difference on image quality ... until it crashed horribly. Anyone else try this out? how does it impact frame rate?

DSR is old school Down Sampling, been doing it for ages, now it just does all the math for you.

Drive level FXAA works on most applications.

If you really want image quality, I recommend

r_msaa_1
r_msaa_samples_8

Warning, 4k resolution (8mb ea)

I thought msaa was only available in DX11, and that it borked heat vision?

I really want to know about DSR too as thinking about getting some 970s...

DSR is down sampleing, its running the game in a higher res and scaling to your display.

so, DSR 4.0 on 1080p is running a 4k res scaled to a 1080p

If you run MSAA, you can add ...

r_HDRRendering = 0

... to your user.cfg and heat vision should work again. If not, please post it in this thread: http://mwomercs.com/...disable-postaa/
