While I would appreciate more information as well, its probably better that the NDA stay in place just a little while longer. IMO they should maybe think about dropping it like 2 weeks before open beta, so unconvinced people can have a look and have a chance to donate. But at the OP, this game is free. Don't complain about buying things when you look completely uninformed.
I would keep the NDA until a week or two before the Founder program ends... that way those who are still undecided might stump up the cash to help to pay for the hardware they need before going to the open beta.
Once the open beta is underway, I wouldn't be upset if they went to a limited NDA agreement, in that certain features might be added or changed, so for a limited time after they are, that people refrain from broadcasting the details until (say) a week has passed, so they have a time to correct problems - discussion on the forums would be acceptable in the correct subsection.
This would allow them to tweak the game to correct problems that crop up (which should, by this time, be rare) without stopping people getting the word out just how good the game is to prospective gamers.
I'd also expect to see a release-week signing on bonus of something like, say, 5MCr to help pull in the punters (bearing in mind that they need to buy their mechs, so all signups at the end of the week would get it), but we'll see. They don't *need* to do anything, but it would help to jumpstart the game... and remember that, if they do have advertising, that the number of subscribers would help with advertising revenue.
