Ok The Spider Hero Mech SDR-A ...
What is it's niche?
Because at the moment it's a dead loss to me, even with the cbill boost It brings in less than any of my other spiders .... ?

How should I use it ?

Play it as a dedicted support chassis.

Use the Speed and JJs to get into a Narc'ing position.
Shield friendlies from incoming missiles by running under the missile arches, to and from NARC duty.
Take out exposed components when the match is about 2/3 done using the modest backup weaponry and your mobility against slow mechs (anything below 65kph should be easily outmaneuvered in a SDR).

Some ideas, all with XL255 and 4x Jumpjets

2xML 2xMG 1xASRM4 -- this would work best as an escort instead of a harrasser, just wait for your companion to peel some armor then lay into the target with the MGs and ASRM4... limited ammo means wait for opportunity then strike

1xLL 1xTAG 1xNARC -- deep spotter with some sniping and pile-on capabiity

1xAC2 2xML -- get up on a roof and plink the enemy cockpits, there aren't many lights that can do this

I run 2mpl, asrm4, 255xl, BAP. I use it as a hit and run striker or an escort. It does both well. It is my 2nd best damage dealing spider just barely behind the 5d but that has ecm so it is kind of like cheating

A missile launcher. Arm-aiming. But really what it brings is entirely up to you.

The value of arm-aiming can be demonstrated here. Skip to 5 minutes, watch the "o" crosshair, especially when the hunchback goes to circle me.

But if you watch no other video, then watch this one. At the time, Spiders were nothing but easily slaughtered pure cacnon-fodder to Ravens. So this, being the first video of a Spider killing a Raven, ever, is a big historical moment.

If you are already good with the champion load-out this is kind of like that with the bonus srm4

Edit: I throw armor around randomly in smurfy so allot that to taste and if you drop to 1 jj you can get almost max armor I think.
