This made my day. That Locust pilot is kicking ass.

Funny thing, I was thinking about going for this on my Locust, thinking hey, it won't be that competitive.

So glad I'm wrong. FLY, LITTLE LOLCUSTS.

It's too early to get an accurate read on how it's going to pan out.

There seems to be a distinct lack of players who own wolverines, vindicators, cents, cicadas, and thunderbolts.

I do like the orion lead. That's impressive.

Don't judge a book by its cover because it's a book.

I've had several matches with Boguslaj the top Timberwolf today and his strat is always hide in the back while his team dies, then come out fresh near the end to clean up 4-5 badly damaged mechs for easy KBs.

I love the Vindicator boards -- you could probably top them mastering them out how few people are playing them.

Well, I'm in the thunderbolt category. Though these server desync's and disconnects aren't going to help the contest...

hnuchy score isn;t that high either. sticking with kintaros though assuming the game lets me finish a match anytime soon, was tempted to try vindi/hunchy though

Yes but that means the few people playing them are going to be better pilots hence better competition. That's how I view the awesome ranks anyways. Damn that mensch he just passed me too! :D I really hope my mech isn't locked up in limbo now due to these server errors.

Yeah, I've seen a bit of that going on. Don't think I'll bother with this tournament because of it.

However, for entertainment, I too may hang around at the back ...legging those who don't engage ;)

It could be the Highlander Meta hasn't transitioned to today's brawling trend.

Isn't this basically a competition of who has the lowest Elo rating relative to their actual skill level? I mean, the #1 and #2 ranked pilots for a single chassis could have completely different Elo ranks, and thus face wildly different opposition, right?

Or did I miss something?

Good pilots who are comfortable in their mechs are comfortable. Plus, not everyone has 10 games yet behind their score.

Still, guy in my unit can do 1k in a Locust fairly often - so I have a healthy respect for the one-mech plague.

These tournaments reward the worst kind of vulture behavior there is - just like all the other ones.

The real reason PGI is running these tournaments is to collect data on these chassis so that they have a metric on game balance. For the vultures out there: please just stop playing - you're making the game un-fun for everybody else.

This is a great point because I've had a string of 4 out of 6 matches without a single ecm mech on the team earlier and elo definitely has something to do with it.

I remind people almost every match that FF and TKs hurt your tourny score badly... mainly because those boobs love to core my back trying to get ez kills I've put in the work for.

What tier was Victor again? Gosh, some chassis are really having low scores...
