My arms and rear side torsos cannot take the friendly fire much longer.

They should add penalties like the new rewards for team damage.

Or at least add a min distance of 20meters to any friendly proximity reward. Better yet, 50m.

Or make Friendly Fire damage visible in the end game screen for everyone.

And triple the cbill penalty for it.

LOL, you wanna see the underhive melt from Team damage? add reflective team damage....

you deal 10dmg to a allies arm, your same arm takes 10 dmg....

You lolpha the ass of a jenner, you take all that damage to the ass of your mech....

Maybe ******, but THAT I think would get people to pay the hell attention....cuz, I agree, team damage is out of hand in shooters. Planetside 2, it was a real pita...ally nades, running from an enemy MAX suit and what kills me? Oh, its not the MAX, naw, its the scrubby ally who cant aim and pew pew...down I go...

But I dont even think that would do it. Because unless it flashed the screen purple or something they'd not realize it was their own reflected FF doing it. They'd just think "Hey mang I'm in some 'tense combat, yo!"

(And I've had just as bad rear FF in the group queue)

Try being a light pilot where other mechs are happy to walk over you or grind you against a building or wall. My legs are very precious.

i say increase the range from 150 to 200-250,
you have to practically crawl up the ass of a Ally to get the bonus,
and believe you me that's not easy, and i run a locust,
the things i've see from that angle(shivers),

At least for me, a lot of the time when I hit someone is because of the long fire time of weapons now. When you start the shot you're in the clear, when you've finished your team mate has walked into the line of fire.

Penalties for friendly component destruction, please! And FF penalties as an actual visible notification when you do team damage. I.e. "Friendly fire [ -72CB ] [ -6XP ] " And all in discouragingly red font.

Not pointing finger at you OP but a point to add to the discussion...

Some players might try "not" walking in front of other players line of fire?

I team shot probably a dozen players last night as the morons jumped in front of me trying to steal the kill... It was both hilarious and frustrating at the same time. :rolleyes:

In terms of FF I think Planetside 2 did the solution pretty well. A really harsh beep for every single tick of damage done to a friendly and having the crosshair change to a:

What you need to remember is that FF isn't just the fault of the person firing in all cases. In many cases the person taking the FF is partly at fault for running into the fire line when the ally is currently shooting or standing in the way of incoming LRMs. Punishing raw team damage isn't a good idea as it also opens opportunities for griefing.

Also to note is that this will really help in those buggy cases where teammates don't show up as teammates. Being told by the game "You are shooting a friendly" the moment it is happening is 100% more useful than the game telling you "Hey dude, you did X amount of team damage" at the end of a match.

Cbill penalty for sure for both parties. Those shot and those shooting. One will be taught to not charge in stupidly, the other to check his background.

Yesterday i got a nice clean lineup on a cored awsome, shot both my ppcs, and legged a friendly spider running through my line of fire.

Friendly fire goes both ways, sometimes the poeple shooting just don't care, but recently it seems people are just oblivious to what's around them.

I'd love to see a penalty for team damage, maybe make it tiered based on how much you do total in the match, for example:

0-50: 0 c-bills per point[to allow for little slips and people walking into your line of fire]
50-100: equivalent to the reward for damage to enemy
100+ :twice the damage reward per point

yes, this challenge has out about all sorts of bad behavior....earler in match, im in altas derping along waitng to get in range, and suddenly im under fire....right leg, right arm turn yellow...i check for direction of fire...behind me.....the direwolf behind me has noticed a raven clear across map and decided to unload on it.

i say "check fire" he responds (later) "i love when people walk in front of me when im shooting"

:blink: YOU WEREN'T SHOOTING UNTIL YOU STARTED SHOOTING ME HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY OF THAT??!!? *DESKFLIP* :angry:
